took forever and a day for old mate Herb the undertaker Dean to call that.

Promoting his Irish whiskey (not gin). Ha.

That was brutality. Breaks his nose in the opening clinch with shoulder hits, a side kick to the head and a flying knee then some ground and pound and it ends in around 30 seconds. Connor is back and it’s the best thing for the UFC!

Yeah - those shoulder hits messed Cowboy up. Was seriously disoriented and Conor knowing this - hits him with a huge head kick.

I think cowboy needs a break or to retire.

a few bad losses and a war in the last 12 months.

By the time my feed buffered, it was done, lol

Same

I live 2 kms from my local pub and the drive there took longer than the fight…

Nicely mangled nose

He needs to retire, he is done

I feel like it was always going to be a short fight or run deep into the third round. Cowboy is a notoriously slow starter and McGregor comes out the gates like a bull. As good as Cowboy is when he gets the combo engine rolling, he’s getting older and is showing serious signs of slowing down, he’s movement is getting more flat footed and his speed is declining.

Little confused as to why Cowboy didn’t adjust his clinch but kudos to McGregor for exposing Cowboys flaws!

For the sake of his family I hope Cowboy retires now. He has the money, now leave whilst he can still function.

yup thats one thing i don’t get about a lot of aging fighters.

you’ve been concussed multiple times, surely those 4 extra fights aren’t worth not being able to remember your kids in 10-15 years time?

For some of them it’s all they know.

If they don’t fight, they don’t put food on the table, and unfortunately since the Reebok deal fighters aren’t able to have a stream of revenue coming in from other sponsors outside of that. They just have to keep chasing contracts and fights.

For others, like Cowboy and presumably McGregor, they just love it. The art of violence runs deep in their blood. Getting in to the cage is one thing, but doing it till you die is reserved for the few. It’s a different level of madness by comparison to any other sport.

The pub I was at the satellite went down (due to thunder storms) as Conor walked out. The joint erupted, missed the entire fight and caught the replay on people’s phone.
