Also, to have one holiday in winter, there is such a gap between autumn and spring holidays.
Maybe we could have a Midwinter holiday instead of a Royal one.
There are High Days ( the real holy days) and holidays.

I have been in the public service for years, and this has never even been spoken of… In saying that, I’m not in the city.

I want floating PH days to be used as bridging days when an existing PH falls on a Thursday or Tuesday.
Like ANZAC day in 2024. One of the floating PH days can be used on the following Friday.
Have a set amount per time period (maybe 12 per decade) and they can be allocated. Some years there may be zero, some years there may be 3-4. Bit luck of the draw. But will mean long weekends.

Making the bridge can get out of hand with some European holidays, particularly in May.
There was a joke about a German Orchestra , it worked out with the bridge and PH they could only perform on Wednesdays. Then they protested, EVERY Wednesday was asking too much.

40 hours (minus lunch breaks) in 4 days is easily doable.

productivity for my job compared to 10 years ago is almost triple, so by that metric i should only have to work 1.66 days.
