That’s even worse!

Simplot do sidewinder hot chips. They are good i reckon if your chippo does em.

Better than crinkle cut and steak cut imho.

Still not a massive chip fan. Give me one or two hot potato cakes instead any day.

It’s Parmi in SA and always has been.
I’m not a huge fan of Chicken Parmi’s but love Beef Parmi’s. It’s practically impossible to get a Beef Parmi in NSW and they actually don’t have Beef Schnitzel but instead have Crumbed Beef

Veal? Or beef?

That’s what a meat parma/i is, just a schnitzel with cheese and red sauce. Culinary version of one of those part German part Italian towns in the Alps, but not nearly as pretty

I used to hate chicken salt but I think those trendy burger places have refined it or I’ve just gotten used to it. Not sure which.

Wiener schnitzel is crumbed veal without cheese.

We have both in SA, just depends what pub you go to but Beef Schnitzel is the more commonly found version.
In NSW it’s a Crumbed Steak or Crumbed Beef in some areas

Ive never seen a beef schnitzel only veal pork and chicken.

Beef just sounds like it would be tough.

What sort of cut?

Minute steak or topside as a rule.
Mostly thinly sliced stuff.
Not many restaurants use the mallet on a fillet anymore
We have plenty of other varieties such as Turkey and Calamari. I don’t eat seafood but there are a few places around that apparently do unreal Calamari Schnitzels

Yeah don’t see much beef.

Veal or Chicken or the yuppie ■■■■ like eggplant

In probably 90% of SA pubs it will be called a Beef Schnitzel. Restaurants it will be mostly be Veal

I like when threads get derailed.

The origin of the dish is claimed by the Southern regions of Calabria, Campania, Apulia and Sicily.

Now. This is the important bit.

At old school, ridgey dodge, fair dinkum, true blue places. There’s an unwritten rule. You always get an extra potato cake.

So did you order 2 and get 3? Or did you order 3 and get stooged.

Depends on the venue. The chicken burgers (especially the Portuguese ones at Victory home games) at AAMI Park are better than Sex

I believe that comes under beverages
