US politics - fried (part 5)

Why is the age thing relevant ?

I understand that, but I guess I don’t see the flaws that you see and actually think he has done a good job.

The slightest gaffe by Biden is headlined, the substance gets ignored…

He, understandably in his position, has a lot of very good/intelligent people under him.

I just think as the face of the whole show he is an embarrassment. Not saying Trump wouldn’t be either given all his indiscretions but surely it’s time for new blood.

As opposed to Don who is the most indicted ex-President in history. Wears diapers and literally poops himself in public. Can’t read. Told people to drink bleach. Thought he beat Barack Obama. Thinks NIkki Haley is Nancy Pelosi. Is a convicted rapist and just had 83 million dollars awarded in damages against him. Called prisoners of war losers. Bragged about passing a cognitive test that is issued to patients with dementia. Told the American public that he would make Mexico pay to build a wall (hot tip, they didn’t). Is still facing 91 seperate charges in the courts. Can’t name a single passage out of his favourite book of all time (the Bible. Christ on a kebab, I’m an athiest and even I could rustle up maybe one line.) Is implicated in a network of people that used and abused underage girls. Has been accused of having pee tapes in the possession of Russian intelligence agents. Buried his ex wife at his golf course. Held classified documents in his toilet at Mar a Lago. And incited a treasonous riot when he chucked a tanty because he lost the election. But you are right, Biden is an embarassment.

Not sure where I said Trump is/was an incredible specimen of a human either?

When you use Dopey Joe, which is a Trump line, the inference is that you are a Republican leaning person, with a bent for the MAGA side of the board, as I don’t see non MAGA republicans using that sort of language.

Well your implications/inferences are incorrect because I am not an American, a Republican or have any true vested interest.

Of course it’s of some interest to us, even in Australia, but if we cut back all the dramatic crap surrounding it which our media love to talk up like we in Australia have any real influence on the result (lol) … is it really going to impact your life? The world was meant to end when Trump was elected back at the end of 2016. He stuffed up the American response to COVID in his final year (2020) which just about every other leader on the planet did as well.

It’s strange. Biden is coherent, if a tad slower these days. What he says is generally spot on.

Trump is pure word salad. Nothing that comes out of his mouth makes any sense. If Biden said a paragraph of a Trump speech, Biden’s political career would be over.

Yet Biden is the one with the dementia rumours….

???

Edit - I’d like Biden to step down, but I do consider him to be an exceptionally effective President.

I never said you were American, simply that you appeared to be Republican leaning. That would also apply to many Liberal supporters in Australia. Additionally, by using the derogatory term that Trump uses, you indicate that you approve of the way he speaks of people, something that MAGA supporters do. You don’t need to be American to be MAGA, the same as we don’t need to be American to support the Democrats. The fact that we can’t vote simply means that our support is in the realm of thoughts and prayers.

And Trump’s idea that drinking bleach might cure Covid was his and his alone. No other world leader would ever have voiced such idiocy.

You forgot to include the recorded comment about women…”You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the ■■■■■.”
Unbelievable.

Seventy percent of respondents - including about half of Democrats - agreed with a statement that Biden should not seek re-election. Fifty-six percent of people responding to the poll said Trump should not run, including about a third of Republicans.

Biden has been weighed down by the widespread view that at 81, already the oldest person ever to be U.S. president, he is too old for the job.

Three-quarters of poll respondents agreed with a statement that Biden was too old to work in government, while half said the same about Trump, who at 77 would also be among the oldest U.S. leaders ever if returned to the White House. Just over half of Democrats saw Biden as too old while a third of Republicans viewed Trump that way.

Haley, 52, is trying to marshal dissatisfaction to turn around her well-financed but flagging campaign.

“Most Americans do not want a rematch between Biden and Trump,” she said on Tuesday after her loss to Trump in New Hampshire. “The first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is going to be the party that wins this election.”

I would agree with that, but it looks like Biden vs Trump

Deplorable to her bootstraps

It should also be mentioned that during the court case, the judge frequently had to stop her talking. At one point he stopped proceedings and told her to go look up how to enter evidence into court as she clearly didn’t know how. He additionally had to admonish her multiple times as she tried to argue Trump’s innocence, when the only issue before the court was what the financial settlement would be, as he was already a convicted rapist.

Never forget either that this was a woman who said she would rather be pretty than smart because she could always fake being smart. Clearly she couldn’t.

And yet you regularly post comments disparaging Biden without ever actually pointing out what he is doing wrong as a president.

And forgive me if I’m wrong, but I struggle to recall any disparaging remarks you have made about Trump and his regular fark ups when speaking publicly.

So if you have no vested interest…why do you have this negative fixation on Biden?

Regularly? Go and do a thorough search of my post history. I called him ‘Dopey Joe’ today after a song that is about 40 years old and my own opinion.

I also stated clearly earlier on that I am no fan of Trump. And if I was? Why wouldn’t I be allowed to voice an opinion about it?

I’ve never actually contributed in this thread before today and thoroughly regretting doing so. Had a brief feeling, even before doing so, that because my views are slightly different on a topic to the majority in here that it may get misconstrued and a personal attack/s would result.

Won’t bother next time. Enjoy your Biden tugfest.

Yes but his lawyer hasn’t a clue what she is talking about.
