US politics - fried (part 5)

Out of curiosity, in general terms what was the driver for exiting the US?

Number of reasons, started by COVID.

Business stopped as most of the business was in the oil and gas market, and it took a huge hit. It is also the most conservative industry in my experience, so taking on new technology like ours was a roadblock.

Costs also escalated and travel was exorbitant, and none of my Australian Staff wanted to live there or travel there.

I am also ancient and have now sold out my business to my Staff, and they will do their own thing. My US partners were nice enough for Trump voting Republicans, but the returns didn’t justify more investment. I do expect them to take the termination of our Agreement to court, just because that is what they do. They have no grounds but it won’t stop them.

The RNC is basically gone. The Trump family have taken control.

At least we won’t see some MAGAt claim the Prophet was the Greatest American Ever.

Well, that’s why the Koran was written in English.
