Walz is really likable, thank god they didn’t go for Shapiro.
Look I kind of wanted to get past that whole debate, I just don’t think the scenerio is comparable in any kind of way, one where a court empowers a child of a preference of which parent they want to live one, and another where the choice is changing and altering your body at an age where ideas, brain development and preferences haven’t been formed in any kind of permenant matter. Infact I think they are entirely different. I do get why you used the scerario, to back claims that kids are capable of making big decisions, but on a personal level I just disagree fundamentally with the principle of children that are barely teenagers, being given that kind of responsibility. And that goes for the majority of matters, certainly not under 16. Young teens grow up fast these days but there is no way at those ages of 9-15 you are making informed decisions on your future, and I don’t think there are nowhere near enough safegaurds and psychiatric evaluations available to help every kid struggling with identity so there is a gap straight away for kids getting the right help. You are then putting a weight on psychiatrics that are often themselves not trained or informed on specific issues as research is still pending in this area.
You are very welcome to disagree with this opinion.

Tim Walz signs a bill guaranteeing free school lunches
Sarah Huckabee Sanders signs a bill permitting the use of child labour
“Oh ■■■■”
The children yearn for the mines
That’s good!

No offence intended her Crazy but I’m not sure what your credentials are to make such a judgement.
These young people don’t just walk into their GPs office and ask to be given the required medical assistance to enable them to transition.
Doctors are not able to provide that level of care without parental (or legal guardian) permission.
Even then, these young people need to go through a lot of psych evaluations before being able to start on the path to physically transitioning.
The government’s only role in this should be to ensure that there are adequate levels of service available for the process to occur (to transition or not).
Swoodley I’ve stated multiple times that it was just my own personal fundamental belief, did I not? I’ve never made any claim for credentials outside of what anyone else has, which is just data, infomation and personal beliefs to go with and evaluate my own opinion from. I’ve also said you are more than welcome to disagree with my opinion which is what I consider it, and not professional opinion, which I never have. It’s discussion based on what facts, data and beliefs that re on hand which form opinions . My personal belief is under 16 is too young and 18 would be my preference for something so permentantly body altering, some have said they’d have happy with any age, some have said 9 and 14 etc. That is their opinion also. And I’m already well aware about the points you brought up, as most has been discussed ad nauseam already.
I won’t attack you for your opinion, yours is as valid as anyone else’s. As the saying goes, opinions are like arseoles, everybody has one. And yes I know I spelt ■■■■■■■■ wrong.
As to being able to make informed decisions at 14, I can tell you from my own personal experience, that I was able to make an informed decision to remove myself from my fathers and abusive step-mothers custody (queue memes and stereotyping tropes re evil step-mothers) to move in with my mother the moment I hit 14, preferring to be placed in a juvenile detention/care facility rather than return to the “family” home. Not once in the intervening 45 years since I made that decision have I ever regretted it.

I’ve asked twice for @planb to say what he thinks about Trump and how he conducts himself in public, his manner, his language in speeches, his personality that we see via the media - his social media included.
He said that he didn’t know Trump as a human, but we’ve certainly seen enough of him over the years to form an opinion of how we feel about him***. I’m just wondering what @planb’s opinion is.***
I think right now, planb is working on planc
Haha very good
To note that in Victoria, gender reassignment surgery is only available for those over 16yo (for top) and over 18yo ( for bottom).
It’s also not automatic, surgery requires compliance with prescribed criteria, including evidence of a minimum of 6 months prior gender congruence and capacity to make decisions.
You can’t have parents being responsible for the actions of a 20 year old. This is madness!

Haha very good
Thanks. Based on past performance, we may next hear from him in 2034.
A father of a 19yo who killed others with a gun was found guilty on 7 counts of reckless conduct.

I know cos my parents should’ve been in jail (and soon hopefully will be).

I was able to make an informed decision to remove myself from my fathers and abusive step-mothers custody
That’s sounds absolutely horrible for both of you, I (genuinely) hope you’re both ok and have been able to move forward into happier and healthier lives.
Best wishes to you and anyone in similar circumstances.
Not so sure about that. They really do believe he is good for business and will make America great again.

Weird is an interesting and paradigm shifting play.
I don’t know if it will work, or if it will hit, but I admire the change of tack.
We all meet weird and creepy people. Often you get a “gut feel” about them, and as psychologists will tell you, that gut feel might be true. The thing is after being exposed to a creepy person for 8 years they become almost “normalised” then you think back, any guy who even thinks he would like to date his daughter might be weird, but a person who says it, is definitely creepy.

Trumps tax cut really was good for business people. But the USA deficit financing system is a giant fiscal ponzi scheme, which neither Republican tax cuts or democrat expenditure policies will fix. If (when) it crashes its, well, unthinkable. Lets hope it could be a “soft landing”

We all meet weird and creepy people.
And there’s some chance those people are finding us weird and creepy too.
