Uncertainty bounds on a plot
27 September: Apparently $100M of DJT Stock has been dumped by one of the Apprentice contestants who pitched the S.P.A.C scheme to him. No news yet of a Trump divestment, so no doubt Trump will fire him as the first rat to desert the ship! I suppose the whole house of cards that is DJT will collapse if/when Trump himself tries to cash in. The stock remains steady at around $14 and if Trump wins, be sure it will go skyhigh. Should be an interesting sideshow to the election.
Yeah it’s the best representation of a poll I’ve seen. The uncertainty shown but also the history so you can see the trends. It’s cool.
They need MORE information!!!
I mean, on one side you have a gourmet meal but then on the other you can’t say “salmonella” without “salmon”.
I knew I should have went with my first thought of Yersinia pestis, but thought it would not be as well known by Blitz readers.
You’re probably right…
But I love a good poll … more precisely a poll of polls.
And the ones I’ve been watching are pretty steady and have been for the last few weeks, give or take a .1-.2 % point. But its the quality and reliability of their sample that in the end will matter.
Anyways, it seems Harris 276 - Donny 262 is what’s forecast. And if nothing material politically emerges, that’s my prediction. Most have decided … and tjose undecideds could be assumed to split 50-50 come Nov 5th.
425K convicted criminals (13K murderers and 15K sexual crimes) non citizens entering the US could be a vote changer for some - interesting release time of the figures.
The all NEW Trump 2024 Teddy bear is themed as “The Trumpinator”, with the tagline I’ll Be Back in 2024!
Every Child should have one
What’s the source of this?
What sort of crimes have they been convicted and the length of sentence, whether they have served jail sentences and for how long?
Assuming they are all immigrants, how does this compare with those born in the USA ( who acquire citizenship from birth)?
Trump is using the term remigration , a far right concept of deportation of immigrants, including refugees who have acquired residency in a country.
A presidental nominee is a convicted felony, a jury of his peers found he sexually assaulted a women in a civil trial and he faces other felony charges.
I find that more interesting.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component agency of the Department of Homeland Security released the figures.
For clarity, comments from the Deputy Director of ICE;
Lechleitner blames some of the releases on law enforcement in “sanctuary cities” not cooperating with ICE.
“Some jurisdictions have reduced their cooperation with ICE, to include refusal to honor ICE detainer requests, even for noncitizens who have been convicted of serious felonies and pose an ongoing threat to public safety. ICE recognizes that some jurisdictions are concerned that cooperating with federal immigration officials will erode trust with immigrant communities and make it harder for local law enforcement to serve those populations. However, ‘sanctuary’ policies can end up shielding dangerous criminals, who often victimize those same communities,” Lechleitner wrote.
He also called the nation’s immigration system “broken” and said Congress needs to better fund DHS.
Lechleitner said that under the Biden administration, DHS is removing and returning “record numbers of migrants who are unable to establish a legal basis to remain in the United States and prioritizing for removal those who present national security and public safety risks and recent border crossers.”
Since May 2023 through July, DHS has removed or returned nearly 900,000 individuals, he says.
He added that ICE is not allowed to release certain noncitizens from the agency’s custody including those convicted of homicide. Other cases are determined “on a case-by-case basis and take into account the individual case circumstances, primarily considering risk of flight, national security threat, and threat to public safety,” he wrote.
Over what period?
Covering how many immigrants?
Does it include people who were denied entry because of criminal convictions?
(A long way back Castro emptied jails, sending serious criminals off in the Mariel boatlift)
If those words are truthful you mean? Right? Sources and refutations please. Otherwise just rabble rousing and serving a master you might want to question

That’s an odd dataset and I’m not exactly sure what it’s telling us. ICE have a decent number of detention beds and say they don’t release violent criminals into the community, unless they are deemed to not be a threat. There’s about 23k detention requests that have been denied by local officials. That tells me that the vast majority of the cases on that list are known to ICE and they’ve made a decision to not detain them.
There’s something off about it. Doesn’t feel like a report put together for a non-partisan motive, there’s important context that has been left out or skimmed over.
Like Dutton’s dogwhistling of African gangz, when Sudanese had a higher proportion of convictions than some other ethnic groups after a wave of refugees from South Sudan because of civil war in Sudan.
He’s tough on crime, HG. He really gets angry at himself.
