Not surprised to be honest. There is genuine distrust amongst many legal citizen Latinos of registering or doing anything hat requires formal documentation, giving of personal information etc

Just a note @Joe, in US finance a S.P.A.C is a Special Purpose Acquisition company; while I get the context means you are referring to a Super Political Action Committee as a S.P.A.C there is less confusion if you refer to it as a Super PAC

Of special note in Florida, 8% of the population are veterans, and 3% are jewish. We can probably assume they are potential voters . Trump is 6 % ahead, according to RCP.
The Fla Democrats say they have put in a massive ground game. We only need to wait a few more sleeps to see if Florida is in play. About 30 EC votes up for grabs .

The greatest trick that Trump Republicans ever pulled was convincing Florida’s massive Cuban population that they were the party to stand up to fascists.

I hate to question the intelligence level of an entire race, but you would think that after living through the Clinton, Obama and Biden years versus how they lived under Castro, is chalk and cheese.
Mind you years ago in Orlando, a Latino taxi driver, who may have been Cuban, did comment on how well I spoke English. He thought anyone from South of the border didn’t speak English, just assumed Australia was in South America.

I agree. This is where the fear mongering of calling Democrats communists plays a really handy role with those who are still recovering from the trauma they suffered at the hands of Castro. Unfortunately, there are many reasons why they’re not willing to dig deeper in and understand the rationale of the Republicans. Some of it has to do with being religious, some of it has to do with general anxiety, and a lot has to do with being constantly surrounded by the cult of MAGA

North Carolina GOP proposing that a vote isn’t even needed to give that state’s delegates to Trump.
The chair of the conservative House Freedom Caucus says the North Carolina Legislature should consider allocating the state’s presidential electors to Donald Trump even before votes are counted in the swing state.
Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) said Thursday that such a step by North Carolina’s Republican-controlled Legislature “makes a lot of sense” given the devastation wrought by Hurricane Helene in the western part of the state. Counties in that region are expected to vote heavily for Trump.

Those sorts of comments were unfathomable pre-Trump years. It will take decades to fix the state of politics in the US. The old Republicans must be devastated what the GOP has become

If only the old Republicans that had the courage to stand up to him the four years he was president. But instead, many of them thought he was a useful idiot who would serve their purpose. Not ever imagining he would come back like this.
