In the Signal chat, there was discussion about extracting compensation from the Europeans for the cost of a unilateral US decision to attack Houthis on land in Yemen.
The allies contribution to CENTCOM in the Middle East and around the world doesn’t get factored in. The partnership with CENTCOM has its origin in post 9/11 support for the US.
And, those Embassies in the likes of Damascus, Tehran and Baghdad, where there is no US diplomatic presence or where the US is underrepresented or in the wrong location. The Australian Embassy in Tehran and the location of its Embassy in Iraq have value for the US. The Czech Embassy in Damascus under the Assad regime served as a proxy when most Western countries severed diplomatic relations with Syria.

Free Trade Agreement ( but most of them only free up trade in a few goods and services, except for the ANZFTA).
