US politics - never go full Project 2025 (part 8)

Major cuts to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA).

Covers the National Weather Service, National Hurricane Centre, and Storm Prediction Centre, among other things.

100 percent of US weather forecasting information in all media comes from their data, for free. Musk wants it privatised.

So the tornado and hurricane, flood, blizzard, and fire warnings that all Americans get for free will probably require paid subscriptions in the future. For compromised data that won’t be allowed to talk about climate change.

You used the word probably.

Do we actually know if this is happening? and what the result will be?

He will no doubt be CEO of the new private ownership…

That Greek/Australian man will probably be okay.

But I know what was happening.
And I know what the result was.

Sometimes you can use existing evidence to make remarkably accurate predictions of the immediate future.

Why else would you privatise something unless you wanted to make profit from it?

Either that or he wants to sell them Starlink contracts.

People die. You can’t save them all.
Especially those who were likely to die anyway.

If you read the report in the countries that locked down hard there were above average deaths for 21 and 22 for many reasons. People were going to die.

This guy….

omg…are you kidding?
Blocked. Blocked blocked blocked.

Read the article. I’m sorry your way wasn’t the only way. It’s nice to reflect on the results once they are available.

We do appreciate all the sacrifice you made at the time.

Here’s one more you missed.

“I like Trump’s pants around his feet?”

Putin sings it to him when putting him to bed.

Bit harsh to blame it all on trump when all the people before him have run it into the ground with the debt.

Like Trump v1, when he cut all those taxes for the rich?

You can’t blame Trump for the mess that Trump made previously

… that didn’t need fertilizer.

Next you’ll tell me it wasn’t his fault for the trade agreements with Canada and Mexico!

You conveniently left out the bit about the countries that did not lock down hard had much higher deaths earlier and lives were saved the other way by not overwhelming the system and medicine. Oh and the little tidbit about the majority of countries staying somewhat open had high levels of civic/social responsibility, amongst some other reasons.

Don’t think you understand that last sentence fully and it’s not the triumphant position you are making out.

@The_Ant I think that as you don’t want to discuss opinions and possibilities that you should leave the thread and return in 4 years time to discuss outcomes. (Only my opinion of course)
