US politics - never go full Project 2025 (part 8)

Waits and Measures are in though. WAIT and see. MEASURE the time.

So, do we have core Executive orders that must be followed and non core executive orders that are just for show?

I don’t think so.

Trump is forcing a constitutional crisis.

Being a master strategist, perhaps that is the plan. A constitutional crisis that he intends to have the Supreme Court decide in his favour. Once this is done - crisis over.

The Trump Administratiion has perfected the art of detail in giving effect to its decisions. It’s not into ANNOUNCING.
As to recourse to Justice, he has instructed DOJ to enforce his new Order that any plaintiff against the Executive must lodge a deposit of the estimated full legal costs of the defendant.
He has declared a war on pro bono lawyers, banned two, rescinded their security clearances ( which limits their access to classified documents for evidence) plus banned them from entering government buildings.
In the case of a student at Columbia holding a green card, he was detained for alleged pro Hamas advocacy , on the grounds that he was involved in pro Palestine sit ins.
He and his 9 month pregnant wife live in NYC. He is now being held in a Louisiana detention centre after initially placed in the nearest one in New Jersey, but they didn’t want him to be bitten by the NJ bed bugs.

I do remember reading that. So effectively, ‘no win, no fee’, is gone for such cases. Unless massively crowd funded, it would be near impossible for an individual to bring a case against the Executive. Putting the little people in their place I guess.

Trump had signed 89 executive orders as of March 14.

He’s on track to pass Roosevelt for the most EO’s signed in first 100 days (99)

By contrast, Biden issued 162 in his entire term.

Oh yeah, Canadians are renowned for their nastiness.

Coming from a crook who’s attacked and denigrated every opponent he’s ever had , often in racist and misogynistic ways. The projection of these people is extraordinary.

There’s something happening here
What it is ain’t exactly clear
There’s a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it’s time we stop, children, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

There’s battle lines being drawn
Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It’s s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, now, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, children, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

I’m getting way more In The Flesh vibes.

Tesla has been removed from the Vancouver Auto Show on the eve of the event, organizers announced Tuesday.

Elon Musk’s company will no longer be an exhibitor and all references to Tesla have been removed from the show’s website, a move that comes as the billionaire faces backlash for his alliance with President Donald Trump amid a trade war between Canada and the U.S.

“The Vancouver International Auto Show has removed Tesla as a participant in this week’s event, after the automaker was provided multiple opportunities to voluntarily withdraw,” said Eric Nicholl, the show’s executive director, in a statement.

“The Vancouver Auto Show’s primary concern is the safety of attendees, exhibitors, and staff. This decision will ensure all attendees can be solely focused on enjoying the many positive elements of the event.”

The drug companies will all rather focus on another anti obesity or erectial dysfunction drug.

You know medicine for rich people.
