and yes not by numbers but anyone could argue a reasonable argument the end game , sure was eliminate a terrorist regime which they had every right to do. I would also argue against the need to level the entire place literally destroying everything. they have multiple cases to answer for on this. and now , surprise surprise they are not only on board with trumps insane and inhumane plan, but seem to be very excited about it.
I would say they wanted to get rid of hamas and had every right to, but have conveniently made the whole region a wasteland and unlivable and to the extent there is virtually nothing left. tell me again where that has happened post ww2.
I can’t disagree that it is not something that you would want to do. Hamas however had tunnels everywhere, full of weapons and terroists, they had weapons caches in hospitals, UN buildings, schools, everywhere where they thought they would not be attacked. How do you fight against that unless you bomb? Not ideal but if was themselves that bought it on
