you should, so many people are dazed to the point they are missing the over arching point of everything that’s happening right now.

What do you think is the over arching point?

Insane that Zelenskyy is now going head to head with two of the biggest shitstains on humanity in living memory.

What a farkin legend.

Hopefully he can prevail.

I posted an article above, with quotes from Zelenskyy. To satisfy you Sir Swoodly and because you’re driving me nuts on the use of the term troops (which I loosely and perhaps erroneously used instead of saying combat personnel ) I amended my post above to read combat and armed forces personnel rather than troops. Yes. But Zelenskyy did ask for foreign troops in February 2022 and he did ask US/Europe and NATO to enforce a no fly zone which would have involved combat personnel (pilots) form foreign countries. I probably used the wrong term troops and should have said combat personnel. My point was more could have been done by the US (and Europe) at the time to stop Putin. Thanks for posting @Nexta. Zelensky was also pushing for EU membership immediately which would have brought EU troops to assist in Ukraine.

The UK saw its destiny in a transatlantic alliance, free of the shackles of Continental Europe, to make Britain great again. Now it’s been humiliated by its great and powerful friend and fears for its security as a European nation.

It’s like an even crappier UN with the qualified apologies and addendums after facts.

That’s ok. You just need to be more specific and careful with your terms. When the MSM uses “foreign troops” that usually means serving members of a nation’s military forces deployed to another country. Zelenskyy asked for volunteers with military experience to come and fight in Ukraine’s military. Technically they are still foreigners but they are not foreign troops. Neither are they legally nor technically mercenaries, which Russia has asserted and even criminally punished captured foreign POWs as…

Agreed. But pilots (and support personnel) were needed to enforce a no fly zone which Zelenskyy asked US, EU and NATO to create. So he did ask those countries/groups for combat personnel including pilots and aircraft.

As I understand it, the EU Common Security Defence Policy does not accord the EU institutional power to commandeer national Military to form an EU army. EU members have not ceded that power, as compared to cooperation .
It is different from NATO treaty rights and obligations.

But the point is Europe and the US under Biden didn’t do enough and now Trump is bringing everybody to the table, just on different days, and it’s about time someone took strong action. Unlike, for example, Albo on Antisemitic graffiti and legal protests. Amiright?

No Trump is working on an economic and resources deal with Russia… and to get it over the line he needs Ukraine to go away… anyway he sees fit.

Pay closer attn and talks will be about a huge energy deal between Russia and US relating to the whole Artic northern region and that then will follow pressure on Canada and Greenlands sovereignty in the area

Ukraine War is just an inconvenience Trumps wants to get rid of for a bigger picture… that wont end well for the globe

Abbott shirtfronting Trump on Putin is refreshing, maybe in Australia Trump’s support sits around the Clive Palmer zone for popularity?
