There’s a young Jesse Owens type training long hours as we wait. Unfortunately his mother just lost her job of 25 years because DEI, so he’ll need to fold jeans at Walmart instead
Trump seems to be all over the shop to be sure, its like he listened in on a world political problems think tank and latched onto some of the more radical ideas that suit his disruptive political bent, and floated them to see how they play out.
Who knows how his mind works, and who has his ear at any moment, whether in the oval office, the golf course, or over a big mac in the wh dining room.
One pearler is wanting all US soldiers back on US soil one minute, then wanting to occupy the Gaza Strip long term the next, throw in Greenland and Panama the next.
Thanks for posting @bigallan. The camp included Gypsies and foreign nationals from countries occupied by Germany like Ukraine, Greece, Russia, Poland, Romania, Hungary etc. they were imprisoned for being non-German.
These foreigners were kept in awful conditions, many starving and they were used as slave labor by the Germans often in armaments factories. It was cruel and inhumane. Many of the men were literally worked to death.
There were several camps that held non-Jews like the one you described including several in southern Germany such as Dachau near Munich. The lucky ones were based in Western German camps and were liberated by the Americans (not the Russians), then sent to a refugee camp in Naples as they awaited their journey to their new homes. Many of these liberated foreigners ended up in Australia, the Northern states of the USA, Canada and the UK. Those who came to Australia arrived via boat in Fremantle. Many came to Melbourne and some became Essendon fans.
As to Big Allen’s post however. Would Trump, with a party largely made up of white supremacists, christo-fascists, corrupt billionaires, nazi saluting chaos agents and war pigs, even be welcome at such an event even if he deigned to show any regard for it?
Are all these people that hate Elon still posting on twitter and propping up his business by paying for blue checkmarks? Haven’t they moved to other platforms yet?
Just reading another article and this quote interested me.
In a post on X, one-time Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci went much further and suggested the removal of the country’s top general could be a precursor to Trump attempting to defy the Constitution to remain in power after 2028.
“He just fired the Joint Chief of Staff. Wants to install a puppet. For those who think that he is contemplating leaving, they don’t understand what happened on January 6,” Scaramucci posted, referring to the 2021 riots in which Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol in an attempt to overturn the result of the 2020 election.
I wonder the extent to which US business is attracted to the thaw in the US/Russia bilateral relationship.
Reportedly, Russia has put it to the US that US business has lost $300 billion in the Russian market since 2022, when US companies began to exit the Russian market, with forced or seized sales of assets and with a tightening of US sanctions on Russia.
If the US were to lift sanctions and Russia were to afford US favoured trade and investment status, restoring US ownership, US business would be way ahead of Europeans in re-entering a more liberal market.
The Russian market would conceivably be of more value than the Ukraine market.
