US politics - the new orange wave (Part 7)

Perhaps after gutting the CIA, the CIA are dusting off their old JFK plans for Trump?

Any motorcades in Dallas planned this year?

So that explains Trumps and Vance’s behaviour. If only Zelensky had known.

They were the leaders but never the light. That was just propaganda.

The only difference is the veil has been lifted…by themselves.

Shameless nation that deserves to go down in flames. The only problem is what comes next? :crossed_fingers:

Pretty much, ties were too tight and pants uncomfortable.

I’d also suspect Trump had a freshly soiled nappy and needed a change.

So Russian State media were allowed into the Oval Office for that exchange, but AP and Reuters were not??

As someone who routinely wears black trousers/ jumper for work, I endorse Zelenskyys attire choices.

I’m sure there wouldnt be a shortage of Trump supporters that would be willing to change his loaded diaper. Not my thing but each to their own.

You going to be nice this time around?

I too want to see this.

This was clearly planned and there was clearly an intended audience.

Whilst o agree with you. One of my oldest childhood memories was from the show Leave it to Beaver. The school formal is coming up, and all the kids in Beavers class say they aren’t going to wear suits, just their regular clothes.

Beaver begs his parents and they let him go dressed in his normal Beaver gear.

When they arrive, all the other kids are actually in their suits. Beaver realises his parents were awesome to let him have some independence, but it backfired on him.

Thankfully Beavers parents had brought the suit anyway!! In true American Tv of the era, there was a moral to the story. And Beaver went and got changed.

(Posted while at 30,000 feet, wearing a suit. Justin case I need one this weekend)

My kids were just asking me questions about this whole Ukraine thing and I was using a school bully analogy for them, to explain what Russia and America are doing.

Under Trump the US would support Australia only if its in the Trump USA interest. They way they are burning alliances, and imposing tariffs and burni g free trade agreements, they will have no allies left in 3 years 10 months time

They’ll have Russia.

He is unquestionably acting in Putin’s interests.

Nothing will change, of course. Blitzers told me.

Hes nothing but a lapdog following his masters instructions, your contempt should lie elsewhere.

Funny how a journo for TASS, the Russian news agency, was allowed in to the press conference - in the frigging Whitehouse - but Associated Press weren’t. This was planned, for a very specific audience.

Anyway regardless of Trump, even regardless of Ukraine, the big takeaway from this is that the US is not a reliable foreign policy partner, for anyone. And that’s not just a Trump thing. It’s a reflection of the fact that foreign policy is by necessity long-term, and it’s impossible to form a long-term relationship with a nation that does a 180 on all its relationships and tears up all its treaties every four years.

I mean is there even any point of getting a security guarantee from US like Zelensky wants if he signs off on this deal. I mean whats to stop the US from agreeing to this and then just going back on their word. Theres no repercussions for not honouring their side of the contract.

Mr BoneSpurs literally shoved Zelensky in that sequence. Bullies reckon they can do anything.

But LOL that they thought Zelensky would flinch.
