Very much expected.
This is largely what running again will have been about.

It should have been parked and left hanging over Trump’s head or let him make his AG go to court to get it dropped. Not that it would bother his supporters but just show everyone how he considers himself above the law.
IMO, The Trump administration will be chaotic as he has not selected a team who can implement his announced policy changes. Further, I think the US government debt levels will increase to unsustainable and possibly destabilising levels.
From The Economist:
“The conclusion markets seem to be drawing is that things will work out just fine. Although they are alive to risks of inflation and cronyism, investors are betting that tariffs and deportations will do little damage. Instead, the tax cuts will produce a sugar rush that boosts corporate profits and deregulation will bring about lasting growth.
Even if that prediction proves correct about America—a fairly big if—it is too rosy for the rest of the world. As America borrows, raises tariffs and grows, the dollar will strengthen. That will dampen trade. It will also lead to higher interest rates and greater dollar-debt burden in developing countries.”
Little damage explained:
I knew this was coming and I’m still feeling physically ill.
The biggest reasons, arrogance and not putting up a half decent candidate.
So women are stupid because they disagree with you and came to their own conclusions?
The Media at large, the traditional forms of media were all entirely left wing outside of Fox. They basically threw every attack humanly possible at Trump, to say he wasn’t attacked enough was pure lunacy. The reason they didn’t throw up more attacks on his mental acuity was because it would have shown the hypocrisy of them telling their viewers how Biden was as sharp as ever, the audience saw through those lies and lost the trust of the viewers’ trust when clearly Biden barely knows where he is anymore. And that works right into Trumps playbook of the fake news.
Harris failed because she was quite simply a horrific candidate. Possibly the worst I’ve seen. She couldn’t talk well, she couldn’t interview, they hid her, her policies were nothing, her supporters pretended they were masterstroke moves…Condescending, abusing and talking down to opposition voters doesnt swing voters but I guess they learned the hard way, perhaps one day their supporters will too but going by this thread I don’t think it’ll happen anytime soon. Too much time spent talking Trump and not enough time on Harris helping the new wave.
My god, people have learned nothing.
‘Untested presidential powers?’ Trump has control of both houses and the Supreme Court is packed with his pet loonies and grifters, who’ve ALREADY made it clear they think he’s above the law. His presidential powers are going to be exactly what he wants them to be.
And does anyone really believe that trump is doing a fkg cost-benefit analysis on deportations? He’s doing this out of hate, not economic logic, and when you hate someone enough, money is no object, especially when it’s not you own money you’re spending.
Crazy how people somehow continue to believe that checks and balances will restrain trump, or that he has any sort of coherent, thought-out policy agenda. They must have fkg slept through the past decade.
He’s blaming China for the opioid crisis now? Why not? Edit - oh, and fentanyl is his justification for putting 10% tariffs on Chinese goods. He’s a child. I thought it was about returning manufacturing to the US so all those brilliant, keen folks can have their highly trained for jobs.
Last time around, from lowerdrugpricesnow.org
“ The Trump administration’s settlement is not about justice and remedy for the families who lost loved ones or recompense for the billions wasted on public safety, incarceration, treatment and public services caused by the opioid crisis. It’s about letting Purdue Pharma and the Sacklers off the hook for the decades they spent marketing OxyContin, downplaying the drug’s addictiveness, and working with other industry giants like Johnson & Johnson to cash in.
President Trump has never been interested in holding Big Pharma accountable, and this settlement is yet another example of his preference for showy PR stunts over meaningful action. Rather than do his job by leveraging the power of the government to watchdog and rein in pharmaceutical corporations, he’s protecting their interests and paving the way for profits at the clear expense of American lives.”
If I had asked for a comment from you, this is about what I would have expected.
Still pushing your Trump Fanboy wagon I see.
So much dislike for Harris that you somehow think Trump was the better candidate.
I cannot be bothered with you anymore…onto ignore you go.
You’re just one of those entirely left wing people he’s always banging on about with their traditional medias and such.
Damn it…you’ve caught me out
Seriously?
The mainstream media in the US is entirely left wing now?
Good god …
(look out the Overton Window is over there now)
“ Porsha Ngumezi, a 35-year-old mother of two, died in June 2023 after experiencing a miscarriage in Texas, where nearly all abortions are banned, ProPublica reported on Monday. Ten weeks into her pregnancy, Ngumezi started to bleed and went to Houston Methodist Sugar Land, which is part of the Houston Methodist hospital chain and located in the Houston metropolitan area. While at the hospital, Ngumezi continued to bleed for several hours. She underwent multiple blood transfusions.
Doctors who reviewed Ngumezi’s case told ProPublica that she should have been offered a dilation and curettage, or D&C, a common procedure that can be used for miscarriages and abortions to clear tissue from the uterus. However, some doctors in states with abortion bans have become hesitant to offer D&Cs, doctors said, because they are afraid of being punished for violating abortion bans – even in situations where women’s pregnancies have ended, as in Ngumezi’s case.
Rather than being offered a D&C, a doctor gave Ngumezi misoprostol, ProPublica reported. Although misoprostol is frequently used in miscarriages and abortions, it can be dangerous to give to women who are – like Ngumezi – bleeding heavily.

However, in states with abortion bans, doctors may feel more comfortable giving patients misoprostol than giving them D&Cs, because D&Cs can attract too much attention.
“You have to convince everyone that it is legal and won’t put them at risk,” Dr Alison Goulding, a Houston OB-GYN, told ProPublica of D&Cs. “Many people may be afraid and misinformed and refuse to participate – even if it’s for a miscarriage.”
Ngumezi started complaining of chest pain, but the doctor treating Ngumezi did not order any additional tests, according to ProPublica. Several hours after her arrival at the hospital, Ngumezi started fighting to breathe.
Her husband was at the hospital when Ngumezi died.

Another win for the “Pro-Life” crowd.
Trump “protecting the women” in action.
Outside of Fox the traditional media on TV heavily sways left wing, CNN, MSNBC etc…

Someone disagreed with your politics and you put them on ignore?
Just remember everyone including women and blacks are stupid because they don’t agree with Swoodleys political opinion, because they are unable to form their own conclusions.
What you call left in the US is conservative right here, not even centre right.
