US politics - the new orange wave (Part 7)

Wasn’t it rumoured that Mark Cuban offerred to work for Trump after Harris ditched him?

And he deleted all the pro Harris tweets.

He would be better than Harris/Walz would Democrats let him in or is he too much of an outsider.

If I were Trump, I’d be looking over my shoulder. Vance was pushed to the forefront by his backers, and it wasn’t to be the 2IC for the next 4 years.

This may have already happened according to some theories.

Just speculation. Not unplausible if the strange timing is considered: Sleepy Joe dragged his feet on making a decision after being badgered by Ukraine for more than two years and all the while being ultra-cautious about ‘escalation’. Why make it now?

Would be nice to not have these billionaire businessmen directly hooking into the only institutions that can offset their power. It’s not great for regular people.

Watch out for balconies…

This time I’m gonna say that’s not official GOP material. Definitely a couple of turkey f@#kers right there though.

Are you still whinging and crying about Trump and pretending you’re not a far left winger? And didn’t you pretend to block me already? If not, please actually do and save us both the trouble.

Oh I wouldn’t block anyone, just help them understand why someone might. I’m certainly not whinging, just contributing to the thread on current affairs. If you’re stuck on Harris maybe share some thoughts on her internally derided recent offering to the faithful, or her keeping her options open to run again? Rather than spew up the sick you ate two weeks ago, again

‘Radical Left Lunatics’.
Sounds like the language some of posters on this site use to describe anyone to the left of fascism. Pretty sad that this ignorant hyperbole has influenced Australians. I thought we were supposed to be smarter than that.

Now Vance is just stickin’ it in the overcooked gibblet.
Wait till the leopards eat their faces, they won’t be so triumphant.

Agree with you that it’s sad Australia has been influenced by this language. However, I’m sure there are people that see themselves as being conservative are sick of being labelled as racist, nazi, homophobic RWNJ’s

Anyone being referred to in those terms has very likely earned them. Conservative beliefs aren’t necessarily aligned with the hatred and intolerance that you describe. If anyone of that complex train of thought feels like they’re being described that’s for them to analyse.

I don’t see Trump & co as conservative at all. They are extremists. They want to blow things up and rewire government to benefit themselves. And as a human, Trump is as far from the steady, honest, morally-centered traditional conservative you can get.

I feel a bit sad for the old-school conservatives being lumped in with this ugly trend. Those I know were raised in the shadow of WW2, would certainly hate being mistaken for neo-nazis and dislike Trump almost as much as I do.
