It was very noticeable watching Trump stand there waiting Xi.
So Scott Bessent the US trade secretary also owns HUGE amounts of North Dakota soy farms.
And trump and him just negotiate an AMAZING deal for the Chinese to buy a heap of soy beans.
Their whole country is ■■■■■■ up. Talk about one gigantic corrupt grift.
A 12yo couldn’t get a sharper fold on the back page cartoon than the fold I can do.
Hang on a minute………
Despite what the haters say. Trump saves the day, yet again, I’m securing trade from China.
Now, we need to find the person who ■■■■■■ of the Chinese in the first place. That person needs to be held accountable.
To be fair, he was screwed for a season. China knows which buttons to push.
Given how Russian weapons have performed to date, I would expect the torpedoes to explode in the launch bays.
Environmental disaster either way.
That’s a bit agenda setting with that post though. They are still running a low 4 percent unemployment rate over there and I think(again stats are misleading) but I think workforce participation is up.
Depending on what you believe too - wage growth is healthy at plus 5 percent.
in terms of working and monetary returns the USA fairs well and has done so for decades in terms of skilled labour.
Unfortunately it’s also a pretty all work no play kind of life if the amount of holiday(or vacation time) employers give.
You could write entire essays on each individual phrase in that statement.
Thanks Scott “I’m a soybean farmer myself” Bessent.
Am I incorrect in my recollection that Trump appointed a MAGAT a few months ago as “head economy stats guy”?
They think (know ?) they can do whatever they like.
They can.
Joint’s ■■■■■■
Rod Stewart has got Cenk’s back
“Don’t let them put you down, don’t let 'em push you around
Don’t let 'em ever change your point of view”
While SNAP benefits will be cut, affecting up to 40 million Americans, the administration is doing this. I don’t believe these are unconnected, a hungry populace is an angry one.
Again, this administration is governing as if it doesn’t have to win any elections.
Well that IS what Trump promised.
Yes I recall being labelled hysterical and hyperbolic for believing him when he said that.
Yes, not sure what your problem is. People commit crime, they get arrested by Police, they get their day in court, and if guilty get locked up. We could make it harder on criminals by enacting harsher laws, more police, more jails and it would make little difference to criminals. We could have curfews and lock everyone down from sunset to sunrise, anyone found outside shot on sight. Thieves could have hands cut off, death penalties for all major crime, the sky is the limit. The only real effect of such draconian measures would be a loss of liberties for all..
No, what the fark does that even mean. You actually think those with a socialist democratic mindset care more about criminals, than victims, and the same could be said for capitalist conservatives. Most of us believe in fair and compassionate justice, and protection for the victim irrespective of our ideology. Government and Police are not “soft on crime”, Legal System does its job within the bounds of a free society, criminals are the outlaws in our society and most will never change their ways.
Reckon it is criminals who make the most from crime. Lawyers make more from land conveyances and wills, or civil cases for defamation.
Until we design all humans as honest, non violent and delete all the nasty genes, crime is inevitable and unless we are prepared to live in a totally controlled world, there is nothing much you can do about human nature.
I generally agree with your post @Bacchusfox when it comes to setting up the judicial system… But there’s also the huge “social determinants of crime” factor – and I don’t mean dark skin, I mean economic injustice, and intergenerational s***-life. The more we have a fair, economically-secure society, the less crime we’ll have, certainly. There is dodginess in human nature, but it mostly comes out when people are scared, scarred, desperate or otherwise fkd up.
