US politics - waiting to see, it’s only July 2025 (part 9)

A lot of the details of corrupt pardons are being revealed by former (sacked) WH pardons lawyer Liz Oyer, who has details dating back to her incumbency and seemingly info on more recent pardons that the regime is trying to keep quiet .

My advice to this lady is dont go out to the same places at the same time on a daily basis.

AI – Liability in Military Law

The core principle in U.S. and international military law regarding unlawful orders is that military personnel are required to disobey orders that are “manifestly unlawful” (i.e., clearly illegal).

  • Commander’s Responsibility: A commander has a legal obligation to assess the legality of an order. If a commander obeys an order that is later determined to be a war crime or a violation of established laws and procedures, they can be held individually criminally responsible. The defense of “following orders” generally does not apply if the order was obviously illegal.
  • Context of the Order: Interdicting suspected drug smugglers in international waters typically involves interception, confiscation of narcotics, and arrest, using lethal force only as a last resort in self-defense or to prevent an imminent threat to life. An order for a blanket “kill everybody” directive, especially for individuals who had already survived a strike and were no longer posing an immediate threat, fundamentally violates these established protocols and legal norms.
  • Current Situation: Reports mention that a Special Operations commander followed Hegseth’s alleged directive to launch the second strike. This commander’s actions are now subject to legal scrutiny, and they could potentially face charges depending on the outcomes of ongoing investigations into the legality of the strikes and the orders given.

In short, while the Secretary of Defense is the primary focus of the controversy, the commander who executed the potentially unlawful order is also subject to legal review and potential liability.

The individual personnel who directly executed the order by “pulling the trigger” (or launching the missile) could also face
personal criminal liability, particularly if the order was “manifestly unlawful”

Wasn’t Trump last week carrying on about following instruction even if unlawful?

“In our country, there are many structures and agencies that perform important work, but few people talk about it. Did you know that all crimes committed by Russians against the Ukrainian people are documented and recorded? 2/

“And this is done very thoroughly because every war crime has a name. This is handled by the Main Investigative Department of the SBU. Where do I intersect with them? Of course, in the field of trophies. Missiles, Shaheds, other UAVs. 3/

“All fragments from crime scenes are carefully studied and serve as evidence in the case files. This is a huge and complex volume of work carried out by SBU employees across the country at the crime scenes. 4/

“When I first visited the underground bunker where one of the management units is located, I was shocked by the scale of the work being done there. Obviously, there are computer databases, … 5/

“…but the department staff recreated on a wall tens of meters long in the underground shelter a huge visualization of the structure of the Russian army. Photographs, names, ranks, and positions. Chains of command and control. 6/

“I repeat once again, every criminal order has a specific name and surname. You can be sure, we Ukrainians will neither forget nor forgive! The department staff pay special attention to the issue of executions of prisoners of war and civilians. 7/

“Many think that such things are done in the Russian army by the decisions of ordinary soldiers. No, such orders are carefully coordinated from above, and these people at the top also have names and positions. 8/

“I periodically tell and will continue to tell you about the work of various structures whose work is invisible but complex and important.”

Retribution is vowed

“If some of the Russian killers hope that they will not be brought to justice, that they will hide somewhere, let them know - they will answer in any case. Geography, time, borders, walls will not stop a just retribution.”

Franklin just killed himself and the entire crew of his helicopter. Franklin didn’t account for the back-blast danger area of an RPG, particularly when fired in a confined space.

Poor Franklin.

Der, Franklin’s got a shell. He only killed all his mates and is now swimming back to Trumpistan, because he’s a turtle. Acceptable losses. Der.

A nunt, in the spirit of a gunt.

If Trump continues with betraying Ukraine for the benefit of Putin, I can see Ukrainian assassins heading to Washington. They just cleaned up a Russian general.
