US politics - waiting to see, it’s only July 2025 (part 9)

Julie Brown is the Miami journo who wouldn’t let the Epstein story go on behalf of victims , and played a role in his eventual arrest.

Now , it appears that Trump’s DoJ was tracking her movements, for at least part of 2019.

An investigative reporter who covered Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes has called out the Department of Justice after discovering her flight details from the day he was arrested appear in the Epstein files.

Maybe there’s a relatively logical, less than sinister reason , or maybe there isn’t.

Our Gross National Product, now, is over $800 billion dollars a year, but that Gross National Product - if we judge the United States of America by that - that Gross National Product counts air pollution and cigarette advertising, and ambulances to clear our highways of carnage. It counts special locks for our doors and the jails for the people who break them. It counts the destruction of the redwood and the loss of our natural wonder in chaotic sprawl. It counts napalm and counts nuclear warheads and armored cars for the police to fight the riots in our cities. It counts Whitman’s rifle and Speck’s knife, and the television programs which glorify violence in order to sell toys to our children.

Yet the gross national product does not allow for the health of our children, the quality of their education or the joy of their play. It does not include the beauty of our poetry or the strength of our marriages, the intelligence of our public debate or the integrity of our public officials. It measures neither our wit nor our courage, neither our wisdom nor our learning, neither our compassion nor our devotion to our country, it measures everything in short, except that which makes life worthwhile. And it can tell us everything about America except why we are proud that we are Americans.

Yeh we should put Kennedy’s speech in column 1 and compare to a trump diatribe in column 2, and wonder how the fark do we live in a world where one bloke was president twice, and the other was killed before he had a chance.

In fairness, Trump has had a decent run of assassination attempts.

Somebody should send Trump a picture of that golden-domed monastery. Might change his tune.

It turns out that not only the “redactions” of the Epstein files can be unredacted, but the DoJ did not even know about - and hence did not redact - the metadata:

This is pretty much it.

“Oh, what’s that? I’m on instructions that it did happen…”

So

  • No damage on satellite images
  • No photographic or other evidence provided by russian MOD
  • No debris, no visuals, no local air defense activity observed
  • Claims of knowing UAV end targets from distant intercepts are inherently unreliable

I’m sure Zelenskyys residence is off limits. A fella with the high integrity such as Putin would demand it.

So all the assassination attempts on Zelenskyy (in the past) don’t count because it was before the peace talks?
