And a single wage supporting 2 adults & 2 kids, it gets very, very hard.
Ha, my boss loves cars (he owns 6 of them, mostly vintage).
He told me to put 98 in my car.
I’ve got a '93 Camry.
You know what, I reckon it’s worth it.
More torque, at least 60km extra per tank, and probably protecting my engine.
Totally unrelated to the thread
I was more making the point that i can afford to do it so i’m happy to eat that way, but i wouldn’t judge people that can’t afford it.
Yep, understand that…absolutely
No one hates vegans and vegetarians more than butchers.
I reckon they should just conserve all their hatred for Coles and Woolworths.
I 100% agree with you. My argument is (some) people would rather spend more money on their car than their health.
It’s a funny contradiction. I also have a heap of vegan friends who bang on about the negative impact of the meat industry on the environment but they drive to work every day when they only live 100m from public transport. Lots of people have strong values, as long as they’re very easy to practice. But i guess doing something is better than doing nothing.
Or wank on about farm to plate vegan organic ■■■■, then happily head into the ■■■■■■■■ to snort a couple of lines of god-knows-what cooked up in a bikie’s bathtub.

89 posts and no one’s mentioned Peter Siddle ? Unreal.
We were trying for 100 posts…but you stuffed that up
I agree with you. There is no need for the type of cruelty that is common place in a slaughter house. Also think about this, the animals waiting in line smell death, they know what’s coming and that fear is in the meat and we eat it.
I lived on a farm and killed our own meat. The animals were always treated with respect and the kill was fast and clean. It often isn’t in slaughter houses infact a lot of the time its not. Many of the slaughter staff are unbelievably cruel to animals. There’s no need to be they just are. I watched someone do something very cruel to an animal once, he hit it with a steel bar because he was in a bad mood. I hit him across the back with a shovel. He said it was the first time he had ever cried in his life.
Outstanding result for our greatest ever snooker player AND in a triple crown event, snooker’s equivalent of a major. An excruciating marathon of a final going to a decider which was over an hour in length. Both players had it won and both let the other back in. Trump, the undisputed world numero uno, missed the final pink, which he never does, and then Robertson (who had earlier missed a straight forward red when on the cusp of victory, which he never does) potted the tricky pink and then looked round in disbelief and seemed to be about to collapse. A truly epic final featuring one of the great rivalries in snooker.
And yes he’s a long term vegan.
Here’s the short version of a battle that went into the small hours of the morning.
Wasn’t he a nutcase/wild boy a few years back? Did he once smash a break like he was playing 9-ball?
Probably ■■■■■■ off because he was dying for a steak.
Not really. He’s been a serious player more than a decade having won at least one ranking final each year since 2006 and may crack the shss occasionally, but nothing like his peers eg Ronnie O’Sullivan etc. He’s been in a rich vein of form of late and his cue action is unbelievably good. This is his 5th major and he’s probably at the peek of his powers. His recent finals with Trump have generally gone to deciders and he’s possibly the only player Trump fears. Has a tendency to fall to minnows however so don’t back him next week.
A great person who champions underdogs and has been very supportive of his wife’s issues with depression.
Greatest non UK player ever, first to record a hundred centuries in a single season And he’s vegan!
PS I put this in the vegan section and posted previously about him in the youtube thread because there doesn’t seem to be a thread that’s natural fit. Top heavy threads about OS politics etc but nowhere to post about one of OZ’s great sporting champions. Go figure, Blitz.
Must have confused him with someone else.
I love watching snooker, once it is on i cant look away. But can’t say I really follow anyone
The full final is up on you tube, 19 frames of surprisingly defensive snooker considering the 2 protagonists who are very attacking players, punctuated with scintillating breaks and, yes, a touch of choking at the end by both. All up probably more than 10 hours of action. That’s my viewing covered for the next week or so.
