So Shiel should be able to learn how to fetch but can your dog play footy. I really don’t think Shiels issue is the ability to play footy.
Lions won a premiership teaching Zorko to fetch on the half backline.

He also likes quick, which the Dudmeister wasn’t concerned about.

Saad, McKenna, Tippa teams were fast.

There is one quality the separates Zorko from Shiel.

Of course there were the odd player that was quick. The Dudmeister teams were not quick ones, the majority of the players were plodders.

Dodoro’s gone, I think it’s time to let it go. Every club talks up leadership.

I know he is gone, it was just a comment of how RFK has learnt from the Dud.

Prior to the draft, a Magpie supporter (‘Pies Footy’) put together a compelling video discussion and vision as to why Zac would be an ideal recruit for Collingwoood. He was talking Zac being taken in the 40’s or 50’s maybe but certainly not at 70. I think we may have finished our draft haul with a ripper! Well worth a look!
The case for Zac Johnson’s recruitment

Are you talking Dusty Martin? Nic Martin? Stefan Martin? Jack Martin?
Quite the spectrum we’re working on here.

What about when we had Winders, Davey, Rama, Jetta, Dyson, Dempsey, Ryder, Lovett, NLM?
(I think they were all on the list together).

Nah there are some decent players there, but a lot of players that didn’t reach their potential. That’s not a recruiting issue.
