VFL - practice match vs Hawks @ The Hangar - 10am Sat 12 April 2025

Love the LTPC by the way… Been listening for years- keep up the good work…
How was Laverde?.. I still feel he’s a better option than Prior, when he;s fit and playing well… Zak Johnson seems a different style of player?..

Laverde was good. He is growing as a leader I was impressed with how vocal he was setting up the ground to younger players.

I think Brad is trying to get Prior up and about(which he was very good last night) as he needs better ball users across the park

I don’t think Laverde and Prior are the same type. I simply don’t believe Laverde could play on a smaller, agile player.

Whether Prior’s good enough is a different matter, but there are quite a few potential smaller defenders. Laverde’s only a replacement for Reid, McKay or Ridley and Hayes should come in before him.

Cheers for that…

Turning circle of the Titanic.

I’m pretty sure it was more a decision made on the quality of the NEAFL and the expansion clubs not being thrilled with the reserve competition.

It’s was almost certainly a first step towards a national reserve competition before freo refuse to play ball. Insubordination that Vlad or Gil would not have tolerated without repercussions
