VFL practice match vs Sandy @ The Hangar, 11AM Saturday 3 April 2021

Zach Reid made an amazing play on half back.

Was outnumbered 2v1, spoiled the zebs player who had the better position, Reid landed on his feet like a cat, trapped the ball against his left hip then spun around and hit a teammate lace out.

Hasn’t done a whole heap but that one play says a lot. Class above

His kicking is elite.

Very little scoring in the third quarter? With them having the wind advantage?

Sounds like a 203cm Jordan Ridley

Sounds like Reid could be similar to Darcy Moore, athletic, good kick, what’s his marking ability meant to be like?

Excellent

Kind of. They were under the pump that first half, he was playing very close to his man on the last line, but then even going up the ground with him.

But he did a couple of nice things, and looked OK under the circumstances.

Theyre piling on the goals now 34 81

Harris Andrews 2.0!!!

Just needs to put on more size.

Reid in next week or definitely week after.

We were good for most of the quarter but the umps began to tire and poor devision making crept in.

The Kepler Bradley comparisons couldn’t be further from the mark

Sorry, my bad.

I think Reid will be a good player but I’d be surprised if he played in the seniors in the first half of the year

Gleeson and Zaka have been our best two players today

Any sense of how the tweaked rules are playing out?

It’s my first vfl game this year so not sure of the changes. There’s been at least 6-7 50 metre penalties

65 for us has been handy too and just kicked a goal. 41-81

Yowsers. Doubly damaging when you’re defending the win[d]-advantaged end.

Probably best to bring him in when we rest Cox (not because they play the same position, just because they’re both undersized)

The same with Eyre, bring him in when we rest Jones.
