lol welcome to the face of another 20 years of mediocrity.
“oh it was an excellent effort, well done players on playing for 3 1/4s then doing nothing in the last to lose after leading by 40 points, wasn’t your fault, you are just a patched up side”.

Snellng was awesome, really one of the standouts.
So counter argue my point of full time AFL players vs part timers then
Your sooking & entitlement is actually the most mediocre thing about this forum at the moment

Can’t remember the last time I had faith in this footy club at any level. Was almost starting to look forward to Thursday, now I know better. Aim low and avoid disappointment. That’s should be our membership slogan. Couldn’t give a stuff that they had 20 to 11 senior listed players. We had a 40 point head start with a quarter to go. If you lose from there, it shows that you stand for nothing.
And they rested him? Why? he isn’t playing against west coast so let him play a full game in the VFL!
Sounds like the game/final went to the perfect essington script
Don’t be an idiot. You are making excuses for why we lost a game we should not have lost. We controlled that game for 3 1/4’s then just tried to coast in the last and let the effort and work rate drop, thought we had the game won. They got on a role and when we needed the senior players to stand up they folded quicker than a deck chair. It is why they are retiring without ever having won a final or played in a GF.
You can excuse away a 40 point lead all you like but that is just mediocrity talking.
When it comes to finals, just effort isn’t good enough. It’s all about winning
Near enough is not good enough
Some disproportionately big tantrums happening in here.
Pace yourselves people, it’s a big week ahead for tantrums. Don’t burn out on a VFL game.
The fact that he’s just come back from a foot stress injury might have something to do with it too you realise
He’ll play vs WC for sure
Having a tanty and choosing not to watch a game where we won interstate to qualify for the finals probably won’t help with that
Good point.
I’m trying to work my way up to full meltdown posting by Thursday night
I have warmed up in the Ryder thread
Trying to get a few touches in this thread
Gather some form in the worsfold thread and then fire on all cylinders by Thursday
Maybe players couldn’t maintain the work rate
Which is why the 3/4 time coaching instructions were to “force a stoppage and allow a reset at all costs”
The coaches knew we were up against it.
And I’ll make no excuses the first three quarters
So very disappointing.
Suck up the loss… again. Reset your heads, and start preparing to do better next week.
You need to play 4 quarters to win finals. It pains me to say it but hopefully some younger players have learnt that the hard way today.
Good point.

At least you have the cricket to distract yourself with. Spare a thought for us Aussie/Essendon supporters

We have rarely played 4 1/4s all year, especially in the AFL, it is a concern. VFL has been better overall, but that was terrible.

Richmond only needs to play 1/4
You do know non aligned clubs win VFL flags with zero AFL listed players right?
