I wouldn’t be worried about the cricket, Australia will easily win the last 2 tests. Smith is back and we are way too hot and cold. And our batting is terrible
Very Very disappointing loss. Selection very poor. Begley and Houlihan gave absolutely nothing.
Worst two on ground by a mile.
Last throw in was very shallow. Allowed Nankervis to grab it, duck into Hartley and was taken round the neck.
Bowman obviously was out of gas as had been doing very well around the ground in the ruck.

they won just about every centre clearanceinthe last quarter. and if they didnt win it the umpire pulled out a free to make sure they won it.
I have no doubt if we had snelling jn the last quarter we could have stopped some of the bleeding goals.
Oh FFS, you reckon at 40 points up at 3qtr time you’re safe enough to go and do some gardening, but then you get back to the computer and THIS happened?
Richmond VFL really are living rent-free in our heads at this point. They could field 22 garden gnomes and they’d still pull a miraculous comeback and knock us off in the last quarter.

Richmond showed EFC again what it takes to win finals. WCE will do the same on Thursday.
Too many people look backwards at our “great” club. We won’t win anything again until we forget about our past glories, recognise that being an off-field power means nothing on field, and become desperate for any and every win.
Loving this club is so disappointing at the moment.

I could not give a fark what the same selection of supporters who STILL think we’re gonna be good every year and that that was a “good effort old chum” think, if you’re good enough to be 40 points up, you do NOT, under any circumstance lose. at any level. What’s the all time AFL record at three quarter time, 42 points against Melbourne, in the entire afl history?
Danny Younan is a VERY good VFL player. Heath Hocking is a very good VFL player, Kurt Aylett used to be listed on an AFL list, Aaron Heppell is a very, very good VFL listed player. Just because you’re a VFL listed player doesn’t mean you’re the a dwarf trying to bring down the giant that is an AFL listed player. half the AFL listed players are average at best, richmond had afl listed players that were kids or inexperienced.
if you think losing this after being up by 40 just because things got a little tough is OK then i’ll assume you’re the same bunch of supporters that tell everyone every year that it’s gonna be ok, and probably the same bunch of supporters that will tell everyone that it’ll be ok when we get done Thursday.
they literally played ONE, ONE quarter of good football and beat us after we dominated for three quarters. we ■■■■ the bed so badly that it ranks as one of the all time great chokes. genuine LOL at people kidding themselves that think that if we somehow make a GF, that we’ll beat them. Mate if they decide to turn up for more than a quarter things will go ugly. won’t matter anyway as we won’t get there.
it would have been nice to give old boys Bags and Myers something, anything to be happy about in their Essington careers. this about sums it up. and if you’re gonna sook about my post don’t bother, you won’t change my mind that this was a “top effort” and I won’t convince you that this was a shithouse effort.

It’s always a massive issue in the vfl, afl comes first. We where cooked in that last quarter and down on rotations. This all because we rested afl players that may play. Unfortunately it’s just part of it.
Our blokes where trying but didn’t have enough left in the tank.
Positive side was the first 3 quarters. It’s really dissapointing but I wouldn’t be having tantrums of the club been broken and all the associated bs.

some questions have to be asked no doubt, giving up an 8 goal qtr in the last, no matter the wind is questionable.
BUT was always likely to be the case re a loss
20 afl listed players to 11
what 5 odd afl grand final players from 17 playing
we rested players for thursday night and then added another at half time
it sucks but at the end of the day, there’s just so much weighted against them, that being 40 points up was miraculously in and of itself.

Yay for an underdog win, fits the bill of years past… I was also there front and centre at the game whilst my team kicked 1 goal for 3.8 quarters as an opposition team kicked 23 goals straight and my team was down by 120 points. still had supporters making excuses. That’s fine, we all cope in different ways.
FWIW - That night I made myself a lovely steak with red wine jus and me and my wife had a lovely movie night watching a horror movie together. Had nothing to do with having a tanty that night, just decided beforehand it wasn’t worth the effort.
