VFL - week 1 finals vs Richmond @ Punt Road, 2:10pm Saturday 31 August 2019 - on telly

We played very well for 3 quarters. I was super impressed.

But I don’t care who was or wasn’t out there in the last quarter, that was the most limp ■■■■ 33mins I’ve ever seen.

What happened to Snelling? Didn’t see him for last quarter and a bit

interesting that Jok and ridley were carry over players

The Jok one at least, … is pretty weird.

Can’t see him as a snowballs chance in hell of playing in a Senior final after his first test & taste.

On a lighter note. I saw Gown at the 3 quarter time huddle, obviously in casual clothes. If you were making me a movie and said to casting ‘I need a bogan’ and they bought Gown in you’d sign him up straight away. His clothes matched the hair and the rats tail and he was very very happy with his kit. Wonderfully comfortable with himself.

Baguley, Myers, Dea, Hartley, McNiece are all over 25. I wouldn’t call them all senior players, of course.

Question I have got - since when is an elimination final scheduled on a Thursday night all the other side of the country? If it were on a Friday, perhaps some of the rested players may have got a run.

WTF, I go away at half time and come back to this?

Good old Essington, never change.

2016, funnily enough. The dogs went and beat the eagles in Perth. Their VFL team lost in the 2pm game the Saturday before in a qualifying final.

It really did feel like this kind of reality check. Still looking forward to Thursday just a little, but with lid truly on.

40 points up in the last quarter and lose. If there is a more Essington thing, I haven’t seen it.

Lol.

People can bag Harley all they want but he was only in that position because of our injury-depth issues.

The fact that we have a guy who was drafted as a backman, be serviceable there and today swing forward, kick a few and spend time in the ruck actually shows he has more dynamics to his game than we all thought.

where he plays has nothing to do with him giving away dumb frees. watch him play in his preferred position, loves to give his forward a free shot at goal.

If Jok plays then Woosha has already had his exit interview.

I hope jok plays

Didn’t watch the game, who played well?

Long. Hepp, Harts, Snello, @theDJR (at the half time kick to kick)
