It was something forward of the play. Is a mystery why we would be doing anything when Marshall is 1) definitely taking her shot and 2) very likely to make the distance…
I would have nominated the “Footy the bush kangaroo” song at the end of the broadcast.

Said we owed them an L and very glad we gave it to them. Bring on windy hill next week. We play for a home final and a minor premiership.

To elaborate for those not listening, her current injury is on the same side as where she previously tore the hamstring off the bone. They reckon she can risk a few more games but it’s gonna pop off again if she keeps going.
How brave are we, come finals?
No. And based on three years of watching, unlikely. Her pace has notably improved, but she’s still fringe-of-the-team at this level.
She’d be behind (say) Morcom, Ugle, Barba, Radford, Tierney, Ashley-Cooper, and Dicker (despite the latter’s kicking flaws).

Turns out the EFC can keep some secrets.
We have no direct/equal replacement for her role.
So no AFLW either?
Nope. She said she was going to nominate* before this happened, too.
*perhaps I didn’t catch her words exactly, but I think the implication that was at best we would take her as a late pick in the draft, if we had met our other needs by then.
