Weird News Tidbits

A MAN who was dumped by his girlfriend when she told him he was not any good in bed chopped off his ■■■■■ and threw it in the bin.

The man told medics he felt his small ■■■■■ was to blame for the fact he had been dumped by his girlfriend, and as it was useless, decided to cut it off.

Oliver Ilic, 22, had called medics after he couldn‘t stop the bleeding and was taken on a stretcher in bloodstained jeans to hospital in the eastern Macedonian town of Kocani.

Police searched his house and discovered the severed organ in a bin after it had been cut off with a single swipe from a razor blade which was also in the bin.

Although it was delivered to the local hospital, doctors realised they didn‘t have the competence to reattach the member. Instead Ilic was transferred to the hospital in the capital Skopje where surgeons managed to reattach it in a complicated five-hour operation.

It‘s still too early to know if the operation would be a success and if it worked, whether the man‘s organ would ever function properly again.

This was the second recent example of a Macedonian man cutting off his ■■■■■.

Another 40-year-old man did the same a short while ago, but in his case the ■■■■■ was not reattached because he had thrown it into the toilet and flushed it away.

Some women can be nasty biatches, hope the op works and he is OK.

Must be the new fun thing to do in Macedonia.

A SUPERMARKET has found itself under the social media spotlight after some unusual milk packaging appeared on its shelves over the weekend.

A number of people took photos of the rather rude looking buttermilk cartons at a Tesco store in Ireland, posting them to social media, sparking an interesting online debate.

One Reddit use wrote “the small crease on the right made a huge difference lol.”

“Someone in the marketing department has some serious issues they need to work through,” another wrote.

LOGO FAILS: Airbnb, are you serious?

Some believed the ■■■■■ look-a-like design had an underlying message.

“Its probably intentional. Its subliminal advertising to women,” johnnybones23 said.

A link to the product on Tesco‘s Irish website meanwhile proves that it‘s not a photoshop job.

TWO anti-violence organisers allegedly beat a colleague so severely that he vomited blood and was left unconscious in critical condition.

“Stop the Violence” organisers Nikole Ardeno and Emanuel Velez, both 30, accused their former roommate of stealing their property, and allegedly punched and kicked him in the street until he had seizures.

Arrested moments later, Ardeno was still wearing the same “Stop the Violence” T-shirt she had on the night before when she coordinated a march protesting two recent shootings, Washington Police Chief Chris Luppino said.

The victim, Joshua Magraff, also is a community organiser with the anti-violence group, and shared an apartment with the suspects until recently.

Online court records don‘t list lawyers for the defendants, who face a preliminary hearing Nov. 10 on charges of aggravated assault, conspiracy, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Local “Stop the Violence” leader Suzanne Kelley said she hopes to hear from Ardeno, and insisted that “we don‘t promote violence at all.”

Police believe Ardeno and Velez attacked Magraff on Tuesday because he had gone to the apartment they had shared to collect his belongings. Ardeno and Velez had come to a police station about 20 minutes earlier, accusing Magraff of burglary, but police said he appeared to be taking only items that belonged to him as he moved out, Luppino said.

Magraff was still unconscious and in critical condition Wednesday at UPMC Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh, Luppino said. A hospital spokeswoman declined to provide an update Thursday, citing a policy against releasing information about crime victims.

Watch your step! Lauren Goodger narrowly avoids walking into a puddle during day out in Essex

There’s nothing worse than ruining your shoes in a puddle, but Lauren Goodger was lucky enough to side-step that problem on Friday.

The quick-thinking reality star spotted the pool of water before walking right into it outside a shop in Essex.

A short skip to the left was all Lauren needed to avoid a watery disaster.

The former TOWIE star admitted in January to spending £6,000 on undergoing a cosmetic procedure to boost her bust from a 34D to a 34E cup at the end of December, after the pressures of ‘yo-yo dieting’ left her breasts lacking ‘volume’.

When it was announced that conjoined twins Chang & Eng Bunker, best known as The Siamese Twins, were planning to come to France in 1831, French authorities were so afraid of the effect the men, then 20, would have on France‘s women that they banned their entrance into the country.

While the concept of conjoined twins — two independent people permanently joined as one — is intriguing for many reasons, few aspects spur as much curiosity as how two such people live romantic, sexual lives.

“The Lives of Chang & Eng:
Siam‘s Twins in Nineteenth-Century America”
by Joseph Andrew Orser
(UNC Press)

According to author Joseph Andrew Orser‘s new book, “The Lives of Chang & Eng,” the Bunkers, born in Siam in 1811 and connected at the midsection by a fleshy band several inches long, were spotted in their teens by a British merchant who first thought they were “some strange animal.” When they turned 18, he made a deal to bring them to America and exhibit them as public curiosities.

Upon their arrival, they were subject to countless medical inquiries. One doctor, testing their connecting band with needles to determine sensitivity, found that “both boys drew away from punctures at the middle of the band, whereas at half an inch or more from the center, only the twin on that side felt the pain.”

He also found that “when one experienced a sour taste, the other did as well,” and that “tickling one of them resulted in the other demanding a stop to it.”

More than their connective similarities, though, the public wondered about the boys‘ potential sex lives. One story held that Chang interfered in one of Eng‘s pursuits, and that, according to one newspaper, “the brothers would have engaged in a duel, but ‘the parties could not agree on a distance.‘ ” This and other tales were more than likely unfounded, but provided opportunities for public mockery.

“The prospect of the twins engaging in sexual relations with women disturbed sensibilities,” Orser writes. “Concerns existed about the impact that the twins conjoinedness might have on women of childbearing age.”

In one extreme example, when a woman in Kentucky gave birth to stillborn conjoined twins, she “claimed she had seen numerous representations of the twins in newspaper advertisements around the time she conceived her children, which affected her imagination.”

The brothers gained fame as freaks, and saw opportunity as Americans. After a decade on the sideshow circuit, having saved some money, they retired, bought land in North Carolina, and set out to create lives for themselves as proper Southern gentlemen. They bought property, became US citizens, and even took on slaves — ironic, considering that throughout their early lives here, many questioned whether, despite their firm denials, they were slaves themselves.

In 1843, Chang and Eng married, respectively, sisters Adelaide and Sarah Yates, daughters of a respected local landowner. While the girls had a “fair share of suitors,” the brothers had gotten to know them over several years, often visiting upon their return from business travels, and befriending the entire family.

When the couples “made their intentions to marry known by riding together in an open wagon,” one report of the time cites how “all hell broke loose.” “A few men ‘smashed through some windows at [the girls‘ father‘s] farm house,‘ ” and some of his neighbors “threatened to burn his crops if he did not promise to control his daughters.”

The local media reacted to the unions with jibes. The Carolina Watchman, in a post titled “Marriage Extraordinaire,” wished for the marriage to be “as happy as it will be close.” Another paper inquired as to whether the women ought to be indicted for “marrying a quadruped.”

Northern newspapers were appalled, as abolitionist papers placed “responsibility for the union squarely on a South contaminated by the sin of slavery.” One paper even called the marriage “■■■■■■■,” and referred to the tolerant local residents as “a community sunk below the very Sodomites in lasciviousness.”

For their part, though, the two couples — and they were, unquestionably, two distinct couples, coming to live in separate homes, with the brothers alternating half weeks in each — sought little more than normal lives.

But many among the public and the media, having barely brought themselves to tolerate the brothers‘ existence, found the concept of intimate relations between them and “normal” women a step too far.

Each wife gave birth in 1844. While no details survived about how the couples conducted their intimacy, it‘s worth noting that the brothers‘ first children were born six days apart, and a later pair eight days. (They would go on to have an astounding 21 children between them.)

When the twins, in need of money, later returned to touring exhibitions, this time bringing two of their children along, many refused to accept this unconventional family.

As they traveled through England, some in the British press “doubted whether the ‘family‘ was even real,” Orser writes. “For some, it was too ‘disgusting‘ to imagine these ‘human monsters‘ as husbands or fathers.”

In 1870, Chang suffered a stroke that “paralyzed his right side, the side closest to his brother.” Eng nursed him back to relative health as Chang “tied up his right leg in a sling” and, using both a crutch and his brother‘s arm, went along his daily routine.

But he never returned to full health, and took to drinking. A lingering cough later turned vicious, and he died on January 17, 1874. His brother, complaining of ill health, asked his son to check on his brother. Told that Chang had passed, Eng replied, “then I am going.”

Over the next hour, he “suffered intense pain and distress, a cold sweat covering his body. The only notice he took of his dead twin was to move his body nearer to him.”

Two and a half hours after losing his brother, Eng Bunker died.

Genesis II Church of Health and Healing‘s ‘Miracle Mineral Solution‘ slammed by AMA as ‘snake oil‘

MEDICAL authorities are calling for a controversial healing cult to be banned from Victoria after its bleach-based “miracle” cure put at least four Victorians in hospital.

Genesis II Church of Health and Healing leader James Humble is coming to Melbourne in mid-November as part of an international tour spruiking his “Miracle Mineral Solution”.

Ten Victorians have reported being poisoned by MMS in the past five years – which is believed to be a “vast under-reporting” of cases – and critics say the bleach is potentially deadly.

The cult recommends MMS “sacrament protocols” to treat diseases including cancer, HIV/AIDS, asthma and autism, even suggesting it is a “promising” treatment for Ebola.

The product, also known as “Master Miracle Solution”, is a sodium chlorite solution mixed with acid in water but critics say it is a poisonous bleach that should be used for cleaning.

AMA Victoria president Dr Tony Bartone slammed “snake oil salesmen” for preying upon vulnerable sick people with “magic potions”.

Humble prepares a solution.

He said the church should be banned from promoting MMS, which is not listed on the Therapeutic Goods Administration‘s register and cannot be legally sold as a health product.

MMS is available online as a “water transformation treatment” based on Mr Humble‘s formula and the Herald Sun was able to buy it last week.

“There‘s no evidence whatsoever and certainly no clinical trials to suggest this is anything more than a bleach,” Dr Bartone said.

“It certainly should be banned.”

MMS solution available for sale online from an Australian website.

Tickets to Mr Humble‘s Clayton seminar were advertised for $500 but organiser “Bishop” Paul Treacy said there was no fee and attendees were asked to donate only to the church.

Victorian Poisons Information Centre specialist Dr Dawson MacLeod said people had reported symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea after using MMS. Of the 10 people who had reported being poisoned by MMS, four had to be hospitalised, he said.

“Our calls seem to stem from people not diluting it ... People make it very strong because they think it might be more effective,” Dr MacLeod said. “There‘s no basis in science for it being effective.”

He said it could cause “potentially life-threatening illnesses” and the long-term consequences of using MMS were unknown.

Mr Treacy refused to be interviewed and hung up when contacted by the Herald Sun.

He later emailed to say the seminar would be a “creative, friendly environment” for people to learn about the church‘s “sacramental protocols” but MMS would not be sold there.

A recent Genesis II newsletter claimed MMS was a “promising” treatment for Ebola”.

I've never understood why you would make a snake oil that can kill people. Homeopaths have the right idea.

The healing power of bleach.

Does one of them enjoying "quality family time" with a young lass qualify as a threesome or not?

LOL, good question.

Would think technically no, although would not be easy being the non participant when in such close proximity.

When I get the book, hopefully it may explain how they went about it and having had quite a few children (as well as just for pleasure)would say they went about it lots.  :)

Because some of the kids were born only a few days apart, it must have been orgy time at Chang and Eng's place a lot of the time.

Human nature being what it is -even when buried under repressive social mores -, id say both women “knew” both men. Good luck to them all. I hope life was wonderful.

Seriously dude.

It’s weird news, not ■■■■■■ up ■■■■.

Thread seems to be confused between what is "weird" and what is "news".

Would be pretty tricky to hide if you were having a bit on the side having an affair with the other one.
