SAFE to say most of us have probably never wondered what it would be like to be eaten by an anaconda, but this guy has and he‘s going to find out.

Paul Rosolie, a Naturalist and Wildlife Filmmaker, has made a custom-built snake-proof suit that he will test when he is eaten by the beast.

The risky experiment, which aims to document what it‘s like to enter the belly of the creature, will air on the Discovery channel on December 7.

The show has already copped some criticism though with animal welfare organisations worried about the welfare of the snake.

Rosolie took to twitter in response to the criticism

As yet Discovery hasn‘t addressed the concerns and still has a page promoting the show on their website.

December 7 will tell us if he and the snake make it out alive.

Lol, don't they kill by constriction, I wonder what the suit is made of?

Don't we already know?

I bet the snake is looking forward to this fuckstick getting in there and bursting it open.

New World Record For Longest Useable Golf Club

Posted: 5 November, 2014 by Triple M Sport

Everything is bigger in Texas. Including golf clubs apparently.

Michael Furrh has ‘earnt’ himself a spot in the Guinness World Records for his ridiculously long driver.

It just goes to show that no matter how dumb your idea is, if you dream it you can do it!

The club clocks in at around 6.25 meters if you think you can beat it…

I play a bit of golf, imagine how big the golf bag would need to be.

In pro golf a club like that could be good for clearing a crowded gallery.

Fark, normal-sized golf clubs are hard enough to use.

Emergencies can come in many shapes and sizes, but unless they are stuck in a tree they rarely include cats.

A woman from Gloucestershire obviously wasn‘t aware of this after dialling 999 recently to complain that her neighbour‘s cat was giving her a ‘strange look‘.

The call was discovered after Gloucestershire Police had an open day in which people were invited to hear how approximately 90 per cent of calls to emergency operators are non-emergencies.

Operators also received a call on bonfire night by a resident complaining that the fireworks were too loud.

Control room worker PC Jon Wiffen said: ‘Most of the time it is about people not being educated on when to use 999.‘

He pointed out that the 101 number was set up in 2012 for non emergency calls (but we are still not sure if a strange looking cat warrants a call to anyone).

However PC Wiffen said if people are unsure it is better to call 999 than not.

‘We would rather have more 999 calls than people not calling at all,‘ he said.

THE boldest flavour change in Big M history has left a bitter taste in the mouths of traditional chocolate drink lovers.

A protest over the iconic Victorian brand‘s new stronger chocolate milk has inspired a rapid rethink from its manufacturer.

From Thursday, a choice of both the original and revised versions will be in store fridges.

The decision to bring back the chocolate classic - less than a month after it disappeared - is a victory for loyalists who can‘t stomach the new product‘s quadrupled cocoa content.

The shake-up, which also has more fat, was the most dramatic since Big M‘s launch in 1978.

Dairy giant Lion‘s makeover aims to boost the declining flavoured milk category.

The company says overall consumer tastes are trending towards stronger flavours, and it is confident most will like its changes.

The original Big M ad

The rest of the Big M range has also been altered, but not as intensely as the chocolate top seller.

Hundreds of customers took to social media to complain about the “awful”, “terrible”, “horrid” and “rubbish” revamp.

“Someone really needs to be fired over this one. A complete stuff-up ... Don‘t mess with a classic,” one vented.

Another said: “Two days ago if someone had of given me the choice of only drinking one drink for the rest of my life I would‘ve said chocolate Big M. This morning I gave away my Big M out of disgust.”

Lion spent 18 months researching and fine tuning the new chocolate formula.

“We are getting a lot of favourable comment as well,” marketing director Nicola Richardson said.

However, the company had heeded the passionate outpouring from hardcore fans of the original.

“It is such a big change to a person who loved the original so we have listened.”

Australia‘s flavoured milk category has shrunk 3 per cent in recent years as iced coffee and energy drinks compete for supermarket and convenience store space.

90 arrested as 'Black Pete' protests mar Dutch Christmas fete

Updated

about 2 hours agoSun 16 Nov 2014, 9:38am

Dutch police have arrested 90 people protesting for and against the controversial 'Black Pete' figure at a children's Christmas festival in the Netherlands.

"Sixty people were arrested for demonstrating in unauthorised areas, and 30 for disturbing the peace," police spokeswoman Yvette Verboon said.

Thousands of people attended the traditional gift-giving festival of Saint Nicholas, which was also broadcast live on national television.

The state broadcaster showed images of minor scuffles breaking out on the main square, with protesters holding a large banner reading "Black Pete Racism".

Prime minister Mark Rutte called the arrests "deeply, deeply sad".

"Everyone can talk about Black Pete's colour but you can't disturb a children's party like that," he said.

Wouter Bos, a spokesman for the public prosecutor, said those arrested for demonstrating in an unauthorised area would be fined around $300 each.

The fate of those arrested for public disorder offences "will be decided later," he said.

The debate around Black Pete, who is the jolly sidekick of the Dutch Saint Nicholas, has divided the Netherlands.

Many say that Pete, traditionally dressed in a medieval costume with a blackened face, red lips and an afro wig, is a racist stereotype dating from the colonial era.

"Some black kids feel hurt at this time of year," said Knoledge, a man at the fete.

"It's a real shame that in a civilised country, in 2014, you still have to defend equality."

Black Pete's defenders say he is black from coming down the chimney and refuse to admit there might be anything racist about the historic character.

"This is how I celebrate, how my grandmother and grandfather and parents celebrated, and I don't think it's racist," said Marco, another man attending the festival.

At a press conference after the procession, the man playing the role of Saint Nicholas was asked if he had followed the Black Pete debate.

"It will all work itself out," he said.

"Nobody should be worried."

If he is a chimney sweep, can I make the suggestion he brings the tools of the trade with him, just to avoid situations like this.

What about Santa's helpers, dwarfs dressed as Elfs?

Not weird, just posting here re the double standards (Fairfax) and didn't know where else to post.

The poor darling, doesn't want media attention.

FAIRFAX executive Antony Catalano has been excused from fronting court on drink drive charges after his lawyer complained about media interest in the case.

Magistrate Elizabeth Lambden allowed Mr Catalano to stay away from the court after his lawyer Peter Billings noted media interest in the case, which amounted to just one reporter sitting in a mostly empty courtroom.

"Because of the media interest my client would prefer not to be present," Mr Billings said.

Mr Catalano is fighting charges after allegedly blowing 0.09 in East Melbourne in October 2012.

He is also fighting drink drive charges after allegedly blowing 0.08 in Sorrento earlier this year.

Mr Billings is this morning arguing for the East Melbourne charges to be thrown out on a procedural technicality.

The Aussie jihadists too fat to fight: Four Sydney brothers recruited to Islamic State

TWO of the four Sydney brothers recruited to the Islamic State terrorist group have been revealed to be “obese” and “unfit”, and are unlikely to be allowed to fight.

A Sydney mother has been devastated by the news that her four sons — aged 17, 23, 25 and 28 — have been lost to the barbaric jihadist group.

She was shocked to receive a text from one of her boys on Friday, a day before they were due to return from a holiday in Thailand.

“We made it to Bilad al-Sham (a region in Syria). We will see you in Paradise,” the text read.

Muslim community leader and friend of the family Jamal Rifi said they had no idea their sons had been radicalised.

“From my interaction from the mother, father and family, they are devastated,” he told news.com.au.

“I see this mother grieving the potential loss of her kids, not being aware of what‘s being planned by them.”

Dr Rifi confirmed that two of the brothers were unfit and unlikely to be helpful to the extremist army.

“Two of them, they are quite obese; they are not good foot soldiers. I mean, they are over 140kg and people who are going to see them there, they are going to realise, what are they going to do with them? ‘You are going to eat our food and you can‘t even run on the field?‘” Dr Rifi told Sydney radio station 2UE in an interview this morning.

Epic lol.

Listening to Geoff Poulter on SEN on the way home, didn't mind a headline he liked.

It was referring to something like when Paul Roos was caught out by a last minute player switch by North, and the fact he didn't have a match up was a big factor in losing the game. The headline:

Canada family keeps father‘s corpse for 6 months, praying for resurrection

Published time: December 02, 2014 09:03

A small community of Christians in Canada left the body of a deceased member for six months trusting God to resurrect him from the dead. The Crown found no criminal intent and the grieving widow was ordered to seek public health counseling.

The unusual case was resolved on Monday as Kaling Wald, 50, pledged guilty to failing to notify the authorities of her husband Peter‘s death.

The 52-year-old, who suffered from diabetes, got a leg infection sometime in March. But he refused to go to hospital, trusting God to cure him. Eventually the disease took over and he slipped into coma and died sometime around March 20, according to the agreed statement of facts read out in court.

Mrs. Wald covered the body with two blankets, the head with a toque (beanie), padlocked the bedroom door and sealed vents to keep the decomposition stench from the house. She believed her husband would be eventually resurrected from and return to his family.

“We were trusting God. We thought, ‘OK, Lord, you know better,‘” Wald told the Hamilton Spectator after the court hearings.

The corpse had been lying upstairs for six months before the sheriff had arrived to evict Wald, her six children aged between 11 and 22 and seven adult friends from their home in Hamilton, Ontario, due to failure to pay the mortgage.

The sheriff discovered the body, which by that time had been partially eaten by rodents and decomposed badly enough that it could not be identified by a photo.

Due to the mummified state of the body, a toxicology test could not be conducted, but the pathologist stated that the death was “likely due to natural causes.”Wald was initially indicted for neglect of duty regarding a dead body and failure to treat it with dignity. But the charges were later replaced with a single charge under the Coroner‘s Act.

“It‘s an extremely sad case. She truly believed her husband was going to be resurrected from the dead, even after six months,” said assistant Crown Attorney Janet Booy.

Booy told the newspaper this was probably the first case of this kind in Canada.

The court suspended Wald‘s sentence and put her on probation for 18 months. It also ordered her to seek counseling about public health concerns that an unattended dead body poses.

“This is not about your religious beliefs. It is about your safety, the safety of your children and the safety of the community at large,” Superior Court Justice Marjoh Agro said.

The Walds were recognized in their neighborhood in north-end Hamilton for their blue van covered in messages of love for God and crosses carved into the headlights. They were involved in charity, offering food to homeless people.

The family has since moved to Fort Erie, Ontario, putting the unusual criminal case behind them.

“It was unusual, yes. It was certainly not normal. And we won‘t do that again… laws exist and we know that now,” Wald told the Spectator.

She says her faith was not shaken and she expects her husband to come back from the dead in due time.

“In fact, it has cast me more at the mercy of God, because he is the ultimate judge,” she said.
