my SIL just had a baby. It’s my wife’s brother, but everyone is congratulating me on being an uncle, is that normal? I think it would be different if it were my brother’s wife or my sister which made me an uncle.

This one ■■■■■ me more. She keeps posting photos and say “his sleeping well” and “if his in right”. IT’S ■■■■■■■ “HE’S”. Mind you, she is a teacher as well.
Do I bother pointing it out or just suck it up?
If I’ve learnt anything relating to people and they way they talk about kids…Candid feedback never goes down too well.

Jumping jacks are the worst.
Oh, and the 6 ft long Black Snake that was under a piece of board I moved while helping a neighbour fix his fence before I pizzed off for Xmas. She was a bit annoying for a moment there. 
Tell her it’s great that he’s sleeping well. Don’t highlight it, just spell it correctly.
That “his” thing annoys the crap out of me also.

I wonder if it bugs me more because she is a school teacher. I mean, it bugs me regardless but maybe moreso in this case because she is a teacher.

One of the guys at the gym is always going on about ‘working on strengf’ ‘do free sets of free’, and you know he’s not their to teach English, so it doesn’t matter.

Could be, but those things use machine learning (auto loaded with a starting point).
So if you keep spelling it rong, it’ll eventually take that as rite.
