Daffodil bulbs by chance?

Poppy seeds, nutmeg there’s a whole heap of drugs lurking at the supermarket

Something like that. Looked like a brown garlic bulb from memory.

From the state of the folks that bought (or nicked) them, I figured it was something I wanted none of…

I checked with an experimenter whether nitrous oxide cylinders were trending.
Answer was no, something like it could be among the povos.

Definitely a lot more of them out there. Huge numbers coming through the system

Normally called bulbs.
Cylinder generally refers to the bigger vessels.

Local foodworks has ■■■■ loads of them on display at the counter. Next to alcohol, so I’m fairness, that ■■■■ can fk you up (speaking from experience)

If you have a soda siphon and use soda water in mixed drinks, fair enough to have some at the alcohol counter.
Will now do a survey for where those bulbs are located at the supermarket*

  • definitely not an experimenter.

Most used for Soda are different gas.
Generally CO2 for soda canisters.
The nitrous oxide “NANGS” are mainly used in baking

The bloke across the road from me drives a car with the numberplate NANGFA.

I always wondered what it meant. Now I don’t know what to think.

“Essendon will be looking to get “IT’s” season off to a good start…”

THEY are a team. Not IT.

Note the emphasis. ‘A’ team.

I’m a bit either way on this. For sporting teams it sounds ok either way, to me. But I’ve always used singular forms for corporations and similar collective nouns. Pretty sure ‘The Complete Plain Words’ advice is that this is more appropriate unless you are talking about differences within a group. That is, where the group is not acting in unison.

Council has decided to grant the permit.

Council debated the application and were unable to reach an agreed position.

Used to drive me nuts when Jon Faine used to say “The government are going to introduce…”

Most largish bodies have an official style manual, including grammar, spelling punctuation and fonts, spacing etc
There was something about a collective noun needing a plural verb.
As to spelling, it can come to blows. Someone I know refused to buy a certain newspaper because it spelled judgment with an ‘e’. Same can happen with ‘z’ instead of ‘s’ in words.

But no mention of apostrophe usage, or distinctions between ‘less’ and ‘fewer’?

Don’t even get me started on incorrect possessive noun’s!!
