I only became conscious of the distinction recently and quickly realised the UK and US pronunciations are wrong.

There is a regional town in SW WA where the residents have this pronunciation. I suppose that it was originally settled by people from a particular area of UK that had this version.
Some people love titles. I learnt early on from a great Boss that titles mean nothing and you feed your family from the money you get paid. Though he did make one proviso, that if you are given a title of Business Development Manager, then immediately look for another job, as this is the title given to the next person to be sacked.
