What do you mean? Who doesn’t like getting a million notifications from a call you were invited to but didn’t join?
Oh yeah! Nature’s Botanical. So good!
100% DEET is where it’s at when the bugs get bad.
The stuff melts plastic but it will repel anything.
Hate to think what it does to your skin and body though.
It also eats silk inner sheets. I got home from hiking in Java and effectively plastering that stuff on me 24/7 for 3 weeks, I washed the inner sheet and it disintegrated. Straight to the rubbish bin.
It’s the only stuff that works when the bugs are really bad. Choke on them when you breath thick
I thought the inner sheet was a small price to pay.
Have a small wall cabinet where a Rid spray bottle oozed out. Turned the hard plastic cabinet lining to marshmallow in that area - had to scrape it off.
Yep. I hated going to Chinese restaurants with the wife’s friends who were larger people and ate loads more. Also ate dishes I wouldnt normally touch too.
We would generally get:
Beef and blackbean
Mongolian beef
Sweet sour pork
Honey chicken
Bird’s nest
2 serves of special fried rice
1 noodle dish
4 serves of wonton
4 serves of dim sims
I would prob hit the some of the beef, honey chicken and pork with a bit of rice, but only eat like 2 of those tiny bowls they give you…
We both eat a lot of steak and don’t care what it costs so we would go out with the group and we might go somewhere and the other 4 will choose the specials or a schnitty worth say $20-40 and we would feel guilty ordering the more expensive steak so often settled for a basic meal. We don’t eat seafood and rarely have an entree or appetizer but I’m happy to pay $100+ for a steak each and then add some other dishes plus dessert. We always have a nice bottle of wine too.
In the end I just told them straight up that I would be paying my own bill and there has been no issues
OK, time to tackle the big issues.
Tennis umpires who announce the score as “fifteen-thirteen” or “fifteen-fourteen”. Say after me “fifteen-THIRTY”, “fifteen-FORTY”.
You only have to learn three numbers, get them right you nongs.
Nil love from @megahertz
This might seem weird.
But you know those pre made soups in coles and Woolworths?
Well sometimes I want one in summer and they are never on special.
Like they are always 2 for 1 in winter.
Noone thinks of us hot weather soup eaters.
Yeah I know I’m weird.
Not just pre-made soups, but any soups (including powdered) get taken off the '“specials” list in summer
Do they sell gazpacho? That should be on special in summer
Pumpkin is cheap now. Get some and make a huge batch of your own soup.
On hot days, chilled pumpkin soup (I like to dump some chunks of cold bolognese into it) works very well.

That would be planning. This is just me quickly deciding I could do with some soup.
Who could have predicted hot summer days were coming?!?
Oh, walker
Influencers.
And double the annoyance points for hideously enhanced lips. Who actually thinks this looks good?
