What was your favourite board game? Throwback Thursday

Anyone who hates Monopoly never played it properly.

Monopoly. But my sisters used to get sick of playing as I would win. Other games we played a bit were game if life and clue do.

We used to have a game called Stop Thief.

It was and remains the best board game I’ve played.

There was also the Pass the Pigs phase.

I liked Stratego. And Scotland Yard.

Scotland Yard was a great one.

As a country kid growing up on a wool farm my absolute favourite was the Aussie classic Squatter.

I also loved Rumminking and Monopoly when played to the rules.

Then: Cluedo and Trivial Pursuit.

Now: Pandemic, Ticket To Ride and Android: Netrunner

No one brave enough to mention D&D?

Probably not hard to guess mine.

guess who?

The only game worth playing!

Played Balderdash last week and really enjoyed it. It's really fun once you get the hang of it and everyone gets creative with their answers.

Monopoly, though test match was great.

I used to live a board game based on the movie Home Alone when I was younger.

Balderdash when played with the right people is awesome.

I think at this point it would be wrong of me not to admit to the fact my family used to own and operate and carton/board game/puzzle printing and manufacturing business. I ■■■■ you not, none of you had as many board games and puzzles as i did growing up. sadly the business has gone the way of lots of small manufacturing in this country.

Used to play Squatter at a friends house a fair bit.

Played heaps of chess too, and we thought we were pretty good at it until I played someone who actually was…

I remember when my mates and I found out people go to the toilet like this it was our topic of conversation for about 6 months.

Did it ever veer into a scrunch or fold discussion?
