Matthew Lloyd reveals Essendon star could miss Friday night’s clash

Former Essendon great Matthew Lloyd says Joe Daniher may not play on Friday night.

Daniher has played three games this season after returning from a long-term injury against North Melbourne on Good Friday.

But Lloyd told Macquarie Sports Radio the 25-year-old is in doubt for Essendon’s clash against Sydney at the MCG this weekend.

“Essendon have been good and bad at the same time over seven rounds,” he said.

“There’s rumours flying around that Daniher won’t play tomorrow night.

“Bellchambers is extremely sore – both teams have a lot of injuries.

Got a leave pass. Tomorrow night I will stay back at work and tune in the monster screen there, settle in with a nice bottle, and a yummy garlic prawn dinner. I can shout as loud as I like, boo the umpires, fantastic.
It would also be good to cap it off with a win. Please.

He’s not bad. Kept Aliir out of the side from 2017 until the middle of 2018 when he was injured. He’s still finding his way back but he has proven his worth. Having said that, now would be the time to get him.
