Where's the team and game day - preseason 2024 v aints?

Woosha used that one for three years straight.

Lyon takes over an established team after someone else has done all the hard work building it up
Definitely not the right fit for us - and he saw that
I don’t rate Scott, but if we’d gone with Lyon I would not have renewed our family’s 4 memberships

Really disappointed with Jones. Can’t help but think Voss wouldn’t have been pushed around that easily, even if his skills weren’t that great. Bring on Nate Caddy.

Thats bs imo

He was keen to coach us then came up with that “vibe” bs when he got told he had to go through the process if he wanted the job.

We are the worst team at defending transistion and lack discipline would have seen imdiate results in those two areas of our game if Ross was coach

GWS lost Toranto and Hopper and improved. We refuse to let players we have too many of go.

Yup Caddy gets his chance next week against the cats and will shine

If he plays a full game and plays well he is in round 1 over Jones

What’s that?

The standard was set when the senior coach couldn’t bother turning up.
What message does that give the players?

Beyond me that decision.

He’s far from the perfect coach and he needs a preseason as much as the players do!!!

Exactly, we don’t know how to do it.

We could have taken the view we were bottom 4 side the last two years, as we certainly were not far off it. But instead Rutten trying to save his bacon and Brads first year we chased some wins.

If we had Sheezal(22 draft) and Reed(23 draft) on our list right now as we’d bottomed out properly we would be laughing. We’d plan how to build a side around two superstar mids, with a definitive timeframe, you build a side to peak list wise when those two are at the peak.

We might get it one day.

He coaches next week

Big game players are those who can will their team over the line when the heat is turned up. Hird was the last player in our side who could accomplish such feats. Other sides have the likes of; Pendlebury, Bontempelli, Cripps, Neale and Petracca. We have noone in our side who fits their mould.

He came up with that vibe garbage to hide that he’d completely knifed Brett Ratten.

We were no chance of getting Lyon. We were, however, a convenient way of hiding what was actually occurring at St.Kilda.

It’s

A) delisting Heppell, weiderman and kelly
B) trading McGrath, Jones and stringer while they still had some capital
C) playing people in their best positions
D) having clear development for each and every player
E) prioritising development of youngsters over playing average known quantity 28-30 year olds

I believe Scott actually has addressed criteria C & D. He played guys in their preferred positions and is actively trying to develop each player on our list. The Football Department upgrades and appointments support this.

Such as starting Langford off half back last season, Hind in the foreardline and Martin off half back.

Developing Cox by… How, and playing tsatas on the wing?

This is it.

Dusty goes alright in big games too

Langford was needed in the backline at the beginning of the season but was otherwise played predominately as a forward. Hind was mainly a sub last season wasn’t he, thus filling in a need based on circumstance. Tsatas will become a strong inside mid, but in his first season, I don’t see an issue with playing him on the wing.
Cox is an enigma, I don’t think anyone actually knows his best spot. During the interview with Lunchtime Catchup, Cox alluded to wanting to play wing.

One thing that is clear from this practice match, is that the new recruits Gresham, Duursma, McKay and Goldstein haven’t learnt the game plan yet. They played well.
