Who are our YoYo players

when defenders push forward to a contest ahead of them, leaving their man in the expectation that the defender behind them will push up too to cover him,

Fark all these terms and stats there are only two that matter

Win the farking the ball and score

for sure, just don’t win the ball, gift it to your opponent and then let them score…

Not as catchy.
Or throwy.

Our Yo Yo’s are not quite there yet I fear but the Davey boys, Tex, Gresh probably fit the bill

Stringer looks like he likes eating yo-yo’s

Dumb term but what they meant was the hard running small forward, who will run from end to end. - think Bobby hill.
Gresham maybe and hopefully both Daveys?

Don’t think menzie can Yo-yo.

We actually have so many list spots for smalls that at this point look bad to average.
2xDavey Tex and Menzies. We have also converted Guelfi into a small. Thank god we got Gresham.
Really praying the Davey boys turn it on.

Not enough love for Guelfi here. If anyone creates pressure in our forward line tirelessly all game, it’s Guelfi. I think we miss him up there more than we realise.

Yeah he’s good, great at the one percenters. But for the sake of the yo-yo thread…he’s not a yo yo (such a dumb term),he’s defensive first option not a dynamic match winner.

We need a McCrery, Bedford or Gryan Mriers type I feel like that type of player instead of a Hobbs in the forward line would make us such a better team overall

To be fair the other mention was in the context of where he should finish his career not this year.

I do think he’d be one of our best ‘yo-yo’ players but I certainly don’t think he should be playing that role permanently, yet. I can see him rotating there a bit though based on mid field match ups and player availability.

Right now my preferred starting midfield is Merrett, Durham, Perkins
