Does anyone wanna post some of the best phantom drafts from Bigfooty on here? There isn't a sticky thread like in previous years. I just feel dirty if I go on bigfooty.
Just delete your history and no one will ever know.

I know we poke alot of fun at him but I really hope we land one of Ben's prospects. He may pump them up a bit but most of it would be pretty accurate, if we can land one at 17 or 20 then it would be great. We desperately need a small fwd and a good mid and his list has plenty this year so we need to go for one.
The thinv is, a couple of Bens list seem not only worthy of our draft position but also suit our needs. It seems unlikely nakia or pickett will get through, but garlett might be there.
assuming we use 2 picks and with cockatoo, menadue, goddard, garlett all available
17 cockatoo/garlett
20 goddard
Going to hurt me if north take Nakia one pick before ours…
*Goddard would be ideal as the tall, but not sure he’s going to be available. Outside of him, I’d prefer one of the mid options (menadue, Blakely, or even garlett) over the other tall options.
Need a proper, midfieldery midfielder with one of our picks.
Other one, go a special. Funny thing but reading Ben's list the one that stands out that I really don't think we should target is Garlett! IMHO our issue is much more the forward line than midfield.
And C Collard or A Wilson or Yarran for rookie pick #1, please.
Anyone know how Conlon went at the end of the year? I can’t find any reasonably up to date information on whether he’s healthy.
Much will depend on analysis of what we have. Will Orazio be a viable scoreboard impact before moving to midfield? Is cooney viewed as permanent forward? Can glewson and browne be attacking options running through the middle? Does Hird think Edwards will mature into a genuine utility? Can Hams play another role other than clearance magnet? Etc etc.
Need Cockatoo to do a Kavanagh and make out like he is completely uninterested in going to North!
Any thoughts on Ben Cavarra for a late pick (if we use it) or rookie?
I don't know why we do this. Every year, exciting talents are suggested here. Most of us know nothing about the TAC and state leagues, so this is all the info we get. But nearly every year, we use our first round pick on some guy that was never mentioned in these threads, eg Kav.
Or, dare I say, David Myers over Cyril.

Im pretty sure kav was mentioned in these threads before the draft, as was going to be top 10 pick before injuries and he was an efc supporter as a kid.
most people were pretty happy he fell to us.
the WTF picks were steinberg who noone had really heard of when he went second round. and van unen but thats a later pick.
Myers over Rioli wasnt that bad as myers was highly rated, just that we wanted to draft a "Rioli" due to bloodlines etc, plus i was happy with his under 18's champs but it was only div 2.
And was more myers v palmer early in career.
Frankston served us well with baguley and hibberd, is amazing really how good they have been.

Dude we were all over Kav. Massive massive. Don't even remember who else we were excited about, Sheridan had a bit of a wrap but he went before Kav. Ross & Crozier got a bit of a mention. None of them have kicked on in the slightest.
In Myers' year it was all Palmer vs Masten on these boards.
Myers is better than either of them, but if we're playing hindsight heroics the one that hurts isn't Rioli, I'll give you the tip. We were always after a (biggish) midfielder, check who went 10.
Was Kav the one whose dad went off at the North recruiters when they were thinking of drafting him?
17. Best available. Positionally, Ideally a Fast mid with good kicking skills.
20. Best available. Ideally a Tall defender or pacey small forward/mid.
Spot on
Want Matt Goodyear from Cannons. Above average speed and endurance. Can win his own ball and good skills. Can hit the scoreboard
Tall fella that can play back and TIPPA.
17. Speedy HFF/Mid with good skills who has some goal sense. Unless a KPP we rated far higher drops to us.

In terms of needs we also need a KPF, a KPD, a quality inside mid and probably another ruckman (although some people don't like the idea of 3 rucks on the main list). But next year projects as if we could delist/retire 5 or so players so I think we could wait until we have a proper draft position again and see how some of our more speculative smalls go and then drat/trade for those needs.
Not only can fast, outside players have an earlier impact than KPP but given Winderlich and Chapman will be gone end of next year a potential replacement or two would be good. And while we need KPP depth we are only likely to draft one this year and unless Goddard slips it would likely be a KPD and I think we can cope for another season without a ninteen year old KPD (unless we are planning to get a mature KPP which seems very unlikely, although I wouldn't be adverse to picking up a speculative KPD in the rookie draft).
So, what do we do with pick 62?? Any chance of a young ruckman available? Or do we rookie Baulderstone or Tags instead?
Also, can we use it to upgrade Steinberg (If EFC choose to keep him)?
