It depends on how many we delist I think
PSD with our last pick I reckon.
Pretty sure Dodoro stated that they will only take 2 picks and upgrade Ambrose.
As has been said in other threads, we don't have enough spots on the senior list at the moment just taking two picks, can't imagine we'll be desperate to use pick a million on anyone.
I don't know why we do this. Every year, exciting talents are suggested here. Most of us know nothing about the TAC and state leagues, so this is all the info we get. But nearly every year, we use our first round pick on some guy that was never mentioned in these threads, eg Kav.
Or, dare I say, David Myers over Cyril.
Dude we were all over Kav. Massive massive. Don't even remember who else we were excited about, Sheridan had a bit of a wrap but he went before Kav. Ross & Crozier got a bit of a mention. None of them have kicked on in the slightest.
In Myers' year it was all Palmer vs Masten on these boards.
Myers is better than either of them, but if we're playing hindsight heroics the one that hurts isn't Rioli, I'll give you the tip. We were always after a (biggish) midfielder, check who went 10.
Dangerfield.
Brad Ebert 13
Harry Taylor 17
Callan Ward 19
Chris Mayne 40
Jack Steven 42
Cale Hooker 54
Geez, Jack Steven at 42 is a pretty handy pick up.
2009 was an ugly year as far as overall draft picks. Some good ones but a lot of weak players who will not play long term, was not a superdraft year imo.
Jake Melksham 10
Nat Fyfe 20
Jake Carlisle 24
In hindsight mode imagine if we had picked up Fyfe in 2009 and then Heppell in 2010? Man that would have set up our midfield depth like no other! Ah well, hindsight and all the rest.
Geepers looking at 2010 is scary. Hindsight mode again:
Steinberg 31
Jeremy Howe 33
Mitch Hallahan 38
Luke Parker 40
Alex Fasolo 45
Cam O'Shea 52
Tom McDonald 53
Paul Puopolo 66
Ben Howlett 106 (promoted rookie)
IIRC correctly, think we were tossing up between Melksham and Kane Lucas. So may not have been perfect, but could have been worse.
If Melksham can reclaim his end of 2013 form, I’ll still consider that a solid win.
The thinv is, a couple of Bens list seem not only worthy of our draft position but also suit our needs. It seems unlikely nakia or pickett will get through, but garlett might be there.
Garlett's highlights video shows (and that is all I've seen of him) that he is beautifully balanced. Torches blokes when he runs the footy, but looked to be Colyer like with his kicking (ie - runs too fast to kick accurately at times).
Also a lot of his higlights video was running off half back. Not sure if that's what we need... still - beautiful evasion skills in close, makes tacklers miss. Really want him if we can't get Nakia.

Of that's the pick of post Steinberg in that draft, then I understand our choice.
I'm sure it was Moore at PA but same, Melksham is betterIIRC correctly, think we were tossing up between Melksham and Kane Lucas. So may not have been perfect, but could have been worse.

A few phantom drafts have us taking Jordan De Goey at pick 17. Haven't seen him play but their descriptions of him sound good. Thoughts from those in the know?
Can we draft some more maturer bodies with our picks?
Not these 65kg lightweights that take 5 years to develop?
Are there 2 talls who we like? Obviously depends how it falls, but a potential outcome would be us skipping all the line breaking mids for a KPF and a kpd.
Obviously this place would go into meltdown.
Yeah, liking the sound of De Goey. If the Bartel comparisons are in any way accurate I’m pretty keen.
Love midfielders who can take a grab.

That's what I thought. If he ends up being the Bartel/Fyfe of this draft we will forget that Ryder guy.
Is there an Adam Treleor thread yet ?

Only seen the highlights package of him on YouTube (not sure how the video poster has access, afl usually shut them down pre draft) and wasn't to thrilled. Then had a look back at some u18 footage of Fyfe and thought de gory looked better, so I'll reserve judgement and bow to better judges.

Still want Nakia though.
