Good point. Just post links to your thread every few posts.
I reckon we need 5+ picks to get the list balance right.
Assuming Ryder goes we need 2 rucks (while having one on the rookie list, which I assume will be Thurlow)
We also need probably a couple of Kp players. (maybe one of the rucks is also Kp?)
And we need another inside mid, and some pace and a dynamic small goalkicker.
All of that would be a significant change, especially considering there's not a lot of guys who are obviously moving on.
Depending on the Ryder deal perhaps we bring in a KP that way (Shaw or butcher), and get left with draft picks (say... Approx) 16, 20, 46, 64, 82

Hmm, too many obviously, I can't seem to make it work.
Take out one of the ruck men, we do need backup but at the end of the day the requirement is for 1 ruck and forward to chop out for 10 min a quarter. That will be bell and JD, so a rookie ruck might be all we need.
You would have to consider Lowden along with Giles but hopefully only need a 4 the rounder for either

This is why i wouldnt take a scorched earth policy on Ryder. A mid-to-late-teens pick, coupled with our existing pick 20, could still be a useful strategic double. There will be more than 20 successful players from this draft. We need to pick as many of them as possible.

We are due to pick a guy like this and I will be pretty happy if we do. He will have a couple of years to learn from Goddard and I think he will shine.
Speaking of Goddard I would be very happy if we took Hugh also.
If we can pick up one of these two and a hard running creative type e.g Ahern I'd be stoked.
