The Essendon thing to do would be to finish 10th, win the WC game and then lose so everyone can argue about whether or not the streak is broken.

With the current state of equalisation in the competition……This perhaps the worst decision the AFL has made in a very long time.
Finishing 6th just got a big advantage
This is the worst possible thing the AFL could do for Essendon. It means st Essington’s day will be delayed. If we have a softish early draw it could be delayed until round 15-20 meaning an excuse to waste a development season.
