Delgleish and Edwards have to play seniors next week, with Giles or Smack. Wouldn’t mid Laverde getting a go also. We need some speed and a ruckman.
How SHMACK doesnt get a gig is beyond me.
Well for one thing he has gone back down to the rookie list because Winders has come off the long term injury list.
Best Players: , N. O’'Brien , S. Edwards , S. McKERNAN , J. Laverde , A. Steinberg , C. McKenna
The good news is we won on aggregate points today.
Get Chappy to retire and then we should be able to upgrade Smack
we can after one more round anyway
Best Players: , N. O''Brien , S. Edwards , S. McKERNAN , J. Laverde , A. Steinberg , C. McKennaI agree with that! LAverde looked real classy O'Brien should be given a chance Edwards and Dalglish are a must to be bought into the firsts Must also find a way to get Smack in
I’d love to know the stats for O’Brien today. He dominated in the midfield.
Laverde looks like a superstar in the making and must be brought into the seniors soon. He was superb and authoritative whether roaming the ground as a ruck rover or as a deep forward.
Edwards was good but tried to do too much too often and needs to get that out of his game but he is a goal kicker and the senior team is crying out for goal kickers.
McKernan must upgrade after Round 11 and injected straight into seniors (for Ambrose, who needs to go back to the VFL to learn some forward tricks).
If McKenna keeps improving at the rate he is, he might end up being very hard to ignore as the year goes on (assuming he can be upgraded).
Winderlich played a full game which staggered me given it was his first game for the year. Would love him to come in next week for Dempsey and Gleeson who both had ordinary nights tonight.
I think the point with Winderlich is that he’s been ready for some time, and was waiting out his eight weeks.
Sucks to be Smack though.
Agree on the comments regarding laverde, but will add he needs to take his time more when shooting for goal . Clearly rushed a couple of shots today which he should have converted .
We are fourth on the ladder (Port and Footscray could catch up once they play) and have gone from ~100% two weeks ago to 125%.
Next week we play Franga (winless this year) at Windy Hill, immediately before the Weagles game. Turn up for the (first) slaughter!
Lid ■■■■■■■ off. What a side we have, what a fkn club.
It wasn’t one of Edwards’ best games today, certainly not a typical rebound/overlap one, but he got a bit and you’ll take four goals happily. He might be the only way we score a goal next week on that long ground.

Stats are already up on the footy live app.
O’Brien 26 kicks, 11 handballs, 3 tackles.
Quick summary:
NO’B 162 DreamTeam points!
Next best (for either team) is McKernan on 120; that’s 28 disposals, 18 hit-outs, two goals three behinds (including a couple posters, IIRC).
Edwards 22 and 4.2
Browne, The Langford and Laverde all 21 and a goal. Laverde also three more points; clearly his best tally and the first game in which he’s been released from the forward line to the middle.
Winder 18
Giles 2 goals 1 behind, 11 disposals, 5 marks, 15 hit-outs. While the hit-out numbers are low for our rucks, we still won 33 to 22!
McKenna looked like a star with just 10 disposals and 4.1

Are you suggesting he will play ones? They gave him second best on ground, apparently he had 13 score involvements, he kicked 4.2 so he must have had a hand in another 7 scores.
To clarify, it was a step below his most damaging games this year but clearly very much better than his opening drab month when cough certain people still wanted him in.
I’m not objecting to him getting a call-up, now.
I’ve gotten more joy watching the reserves play this season.
NO’B had some brilliant daisy cutters to leads today; sure there wasn’t as much pressure as usual, but it was nice to see some damage from the many touches.
