Hmmm…I’ve seen them both (I have both on DVD)
I do not get that concept at all.
(But I respect your right to be wrong )
Good call on Bottom and Tom Hanks.
ANNOUNCE OZARKS
I really enjoyed the nanny. The interplay between niles and CC was pure gold
Shintaro and then daylight. Had to get up before dawn to watch it but nothing matched it. Go on youngters, scoff away, you don’t know shiit.
Fark yeah!
Tombei the Mist
Was on about 4.00 pm when I was a kid
When you talk about TV shows, there are series that consist of a self-contained story every week (could be comedy like Gilligan’s Island, could be drama like Father Knows Best (to go back a really long way to a really bad show), could be western (Wanted Dead or Alive, Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel), could be cop show (Naked City, Homicide), and then what used to be called mini-series, but are really serials, where a single story (maybe with multiple strands) is told over the life of the show, eg Breaking Bad, The Wire, etc.
Of the weekly series:
F Troop
Fawlty Towers
The Thin Blue Line (because everyone else has said Blackadder)
Wanted Dead or Alive (early Steve McQueen)
Police Story (early Michael Douglas)
Rawhide (early Clint Eastwood)
Inspector Morse
The Sweeney
Get Smart
The Avengers (Honor Blackman. Diana Rigg. Sigh)
The Saint
77 Sunset Strip
Mini-series/serial stories
Breaking Bad
The Norman Conquests
Bouquet of Barbed Wire
The Silence (Richard Roxburgh)
Phoenix
Pennies From Heaven (more comprehensible plot than Singing Detective)
Bleak House (OK, it’s an adaptation of a novel, but why not?)
Pride and Prejudice (ditto)
True Detective (series 1 only)
The Larry Sanders Show
Oh man, the early morning getting up or getting home just to watch this.
If images had sound, you know what this would sound like.
Reckon the Royal Children’s Hospital filled a ward or 2 with victims of home made ninja stars back in the 60s and 70s. Know my mates pitched them at any thing that moved.
Charles in charge
Monkey Magic
Hey Dad
Leave it to Beaver

Peaky Blinders
Twin Peaks
Fawlty Towers
Billions
Westworld
The Office
Family Ties - does make it from my childhood
speaking of mini-series (usually only had one season) I think there was one in the early 90s called The Darling Buds of May.
Used to watch it with my mum, great show
EDIT: 3 SEASONS apparently, might be getting it confused with something else
Danger Mouse really has not aged well.
I watched some a couple of months ago.
I know I’m not a kid anymore, but it’s more than that. It’s a lot jerkier and slower than I remembered.
Wow. they still play it? I vaguely remember even as kid realising it had almost the exact same format every episode. I think.
It’s on one of the streaming services.
I think Netflix, but I can’t be certain.
Hate to break it to you mate…this ones gone the way of The Cosby Show
