I seriously think that Zaka is playing with an injury. Have a close look at this blokes lower legs (calf region). My old boys is bigger and that's not saying much.
Prone to lower leg injury and don't think he is running at 100%.
Give him time to rebuild that confidence.
Gleeson and Ashby in my books are putting in more effort than he is at the moment and are winning more of the footy.
If his effort doesnt improve I think he might quickly find himself out of our best 22 sooner or later.

I'm going with this admittedly optimistic line. At least we're well and truly under the radar, except for articles about how the players are at "odds" with the coach etc, because, well, Essington. Thought Zaha played quite well for patches, that's a good sign for mine. Patches get bigger and soon enough there's a complete game. But we should drop him, and Carlisle too. And Chappy hardly got near it, trade at end of year.

i disagree with zaka not winning his own ball. puts his head over it enough and generally runs away with it, when he does win it. Some of the ***** in here are so smart they don't rate players who aren't wrestling the ball off Jobe. It's a team sport not a ******* cage fight over the ball.

While I agree when he is ready Kommer gets a game. To run through the midfield in place of Zaka??? I'm not so sure I can agree.

Zaka is an outside finisher, that's where he does his best work & when in form silky skills.
Kommer is just a mad dog who'll throw himself at any contest to win a ball out to a runner.
