Have to admit I have thought for a while that he wasn’t particularly hard at the contest. He just doesn’t seem to offer much, other than the occasional cameo.

Watching from the stands he was far from our worst tonight. In fact I thought he was one of our best. Doesn't mean that I don't think he is overrated. That's all I have ever said. People on here are (and have) calling him a future captain, a Jet etc etc...I've just always thought that he doesnt do much at all to warrant this reputation. I was shouted down, ostracised and banned 6 times for calling it how many of you are now seeing it.
My criticisms of Zaka are not based on jumping on bandwagons and hitting someone when they (and the whole team) are down.
Last night was an abberation for the entire team. The entire backline decided to have their worst games all on the same night!

I seriously think that Zaka is playing with an injury. Have a close look at this blokes lower legs (calf region). My old boys is bigger and that's not saying much.
Prone to lower leg injury and don't think he is running at 100%.
Give him time to rebuild that confidence.

How many of his games have actually been 4 quarter efforts / or games where he has shown his full potential?
He's polled Brownlow votes in 4 games out of 92 (which doesn't necessarily mean sheeyat, but I will use it as a stat anyway).
Do the club and blitzers rate him higher than we should?
Is he still 2 years away from his 'best'?

He doesn't need to do anything. He killed off Pies in his second or third game. He could've retired then and been inducted.

Fair enough, but this week is "his" game as the ANZAC day specialist.
Gleeson and Ashby in my books are putting in more effort than he is at the moment and are winning more of the footy.
If his effort doesnt improve I think he might quickly find himself out of our best 22 sooner or later.

Can't see her having a high tackle count.
I’m not sure how zaka can be called a front runner. Has proven to kick clutch goals when the team needed him to hence stepping up to the plate without “front running”
Now blind Freddy could see that he is out of form at the moment but seriously so are about 18 others.
Zaka isn’t perfect but can definitly play. I’ll back him in to come good and not just because it’s a big game but because he is a good player.
Also some people bag him out for only playing in the big games. Not so sure it’s a bad thing that a player loves the big stage. After all that’s how Andrew McLeod made a name for himself and he turned out a little bit handy.
Also for people quickly wanting him banished to the vfl please name a guy we’ve got that going to come in and play a better game? I’m not sure we have one in the twos
