Kako is literally going to save the club

The other line of thinking should be that if a club bids early it allows us an opportunity to renter the draft earlier which may be something that they don’t want

Of the best 22 last year.

Kako In
Stringer out.

To me the rest looks like regular turn over. How it prompts a “turn to youth” is beyond me?

Stringer is lucky he had a year with us and interest from GWS. Otherwise he might be retiring or at a stretch a delisted free agent somewhere.

We resigned Will Setterfield.

Does that make it a turn to youth to go forward?

Bit of a rubbish article. Im surprised he could stretch it out to make a page of the paper.

And how do we enter the draft earlier ? Would have to pay massive overs to get in that top 10.

I would argue that Caddy belongs in the ‘kid’ category, not with the ‘middle-age players’.

WTF is Robbo on about?

Article was rubbish but setterfield is 26 it’s not like he is a 32 year old getting games ahead of young first round picks at most he is a depth player

Let’s assume and believe, for this discussion, that a club were 100% placing a bid on Kako.

In this case, are they now unlikely to make a bid?
Reasons being that, before the trade, they were an unlikely but possible chance of getting him. Now with our trade it’s just not happening. I would doubt Melbourne would now, given we traded with them and there was surely an agreement of no bid.

Surely other clubs focus on who they can actually get, and treat us the same way as others previously and he slips a little bit?

If he slips to 15-20, people are going to rage that we should have never done the trade, when really we will never know if he was going to go early.

Thoughts?

Just ignore the extra development coaches and the talk out of the club about investing more in the football department.

I can’t think of Leroy without picturing that match winning series of fumbles in front of goals Anzac day 09.

If he didn’t fumble, we would have lost.

And Leroy was out of the league by the time Kako was 8 years old. It’s been lean times for bombers fans.

My lasting memory of Leroy was vs WCE in Perth. Almost all the players were in our backline but somehow someone got a long kick out and in from of Leroy who was the only player in the forward line. All he had to do was run on to the ball, pick it up and kick the goal. This would have been a chance for him to make a classic running goal.

But instead, he cacked himself, couldn’t pick up the ball, fumbled around until the defenders caught up with him. No goal, no glory.

Hope Kako doesn’t model that aspect of Leroy’s game about cacking himself.

No cack Kako!

Leroy really should have been better than he was.

That was the moment I worked out Leroy wasn’t actually fast. His legs just moved really quickly.
