#10 Isaac Kako

When there is a zero forward structure to speak of, he has no point of reference. They need an extra tall up there simply to provide a contest and bring the ball to ground.

What makes you think BS wants or needs players to get 40 possessions and 10 clearances? He thinks the team is tracking beautifully right now.

The ball already gets run out of there with ease.

Needs a spell, couple of times he gave up the contest when ball was in flight, still learning but needs to dominate in VFL

Don’t even know what to think.
There can’t be a worse forwardline to play in than ours.
Did nothing, but I’d give him next week against Richmond.

Can we stop kicking it above his head?
He’s not a marking threat

He’s not the problem and the options in the VFL are no better. If you play in a rubbish forward line for long enough, you will look clueless.

You just know Brad’s gonna drop him for Guelfi

How many times did we kick to him competing with Lobb? Without anyone else even close to the contest?

Isaac is not the problem. I’d play him next week vs the Tigers. Do not drop him for Guelfi or Davey this week Brad.

we need less talls, we’re such an immobile side, how are we playing this tall with the amount of LTIs to our KPPs?

Who will tear a hammy or calf

I’m all for leaving the youngsters in even if they’re not performing, until it risks being detrimental to their development.

Kako will be a 250 game small forward, but currently we are risking his development.

Play the kids responsibly.

But at least he’ll look hella fresh doing it

Being a forward at Essendon must farking suck.

we have a habit of kicking the ball high in the air to small forwards.

Looks like a headless chook out there at times, seems to run around in circles without getting anywhere near the ball drop. Needs to have spell in the twos and learn about positioning and judging where the ball will end up

It’s hard to tell why he’s never where he should be. Is it forward structure or lack thereof?

On the very few occasions he’s been in the proper small forward crumbling spot he’s looked good.

I honestly don’t know and I hope he isn’t being instructed to push up higher. I noticed a few times tonight he is up near the wing and the quick ball goes forward and he is nowhere to be seen. I think he gets caught in no man’s land at times and that should come with experience but for now I’d like to see him tethered to the goal post and not go outside our 50m arc

That’s our whole forward line.

We have no structure forward of the half. I thought THE SWARM might have been real and the beginning of a game plan but after tonight I’m convinces was an accident.

I agree with the radical concept of leaving the small goalsneak near the actual goal.

Tough to be a forward tonight in our team.
Kako and Caddy tried their guts out.
The delivery was abysmal.
