Dawks (typically) ran with Bruest, Puopolo and Rioli as traditional smalls then Roughie, Gunston and either a resting ruckman or mid during their 3 peat.
A similar set up could work for us provided between Fanta, Tippa, Green and Baguely significant midfield minutes are played (with Stewart, Daniher and Stringer probably making up the rest of the forward line currently).
Downside is we’d have to rotate all our other mids back rather than forwards (which I’m not 100% we have the cattle for).
Include String in your group, and then Dyso McGrath Parish Smith HBF/BP ??, … Seems like it could work ok to me …??
He’s never been slow.
Ok, found pace again!

Not unless he starts kicking goals it won’t. But it’ll make it ■■■■■■ hard at selection.
An argument can be made that Bag’s pressure makes up for Green’s goals.
Tough one.
If he’s bringing that level every week I think Im taking him over running on the spot Green.
Potentially.
For balance I think our forward line works best with 2 of Green, Fanta, Walla and Baguely there at any given time (the other being up the ground or on the pine with one missing out), a hit up forward (Stewart or a Langford/Laverde), JoeDan and then the 6th position rotating as required through an extra number in the middle or behind the ball, resting ruckman (though reckon these days you can get away with the ruckman playing 80-90% game time in the ruck and the rest on the bench) or a mid rotation (Stringer, Zaka, Smith).
If we can move the ball quick enough I like Stringer one out and JoeDan up the ground a bit more but doubt opposition coaches will let that happen.
Reckon he’s been CACA for the majority of the year but thought he was really, really good today. I think the coaches have identified he’s a liability down back but has some good mongrel up forward.
Always loved Bags and ai’m just soooooo pleased his constant 100% effort, game after game, were easy to see today.
Green would have watche Bags last night and said to Woosha ‘hey you know I’m a midfielder’.
Might have lost his spot for good.
Correct me if i’m wrong
but i’m pretty sure when baguley was drafted/rookied, that he had spent time playing half forward as well as back.
He looked decent as a small fwd for that patch of 3-4 games Woosha tried him there mid 2016 before injury put him out for the second half of the year
Reincarnated as a pressure forward.
In case you got the impression he was fast but doubted yourself, his stats on the tracker confirm he racked game high 18 sprint efforts. Equalled Dev Smith 2.5 km of high speed running, while Ambo notched up game 2.7 km of high speed running both ahead of Blicavs !
1%er King, Reinvented.

Me too. Got me beat why he gets canned.
could it be that he has reinvented himself?
It’s not even about the goals, but the relentless and manic relentless pressure as a small forward is what we have been screaming out for. We had it with Green, Fantasia and Tippa last year, but not been able to replicate it this year.
He has limitations as a footballer Bags, and can be exposed these days as a defender, but there will always be a place in the team for someone who has such a hard edge and is willing to get their hands as dirty as he does.
Best I’ve seen him play for a long time. Loved his aggression.

I don’t know how long for, but I wouldn’t be moving him out of our forward line any time soon.
No , the selectors have reinvented him. Has always been a manic defender but perhaps slowing a little critically against the fastest little men today, but with our apparent lack of forward pressure he improves us in the forward 50. Not always perfect but never lacking in guts and determination.
Played almost exclusively as a forward pocket at Franga until his draft year where he played back
