He more than likely was but he deserved a crack at it. Like all the other players club owes him a spot on the list in 2017 if he wants it.
He’s guaranteed a pay cheque for this year, compo of some sort, and another year on the list with another what … $100k pay cheque?
For simply having one last crack, … and getting paid to do what he would be doing anyway for any modelling aspirations … whilst finishing any fireman course he starts this year in his down time??
Going farken nowhere until the end of 17 at least, by that score.
Have to be completely shot of it, & the club willing to pay his contract for next year out … which I suppose is possible, … except he is training with the boys, … isn’t he?
Who knows. A year away from injury and trying to crack into the side might be exactly what he needs.

I don’t think he would be unlucky not to be given a contract for 2017. He has probably been the luckiest person out of this whole saga. Would have been delisted years ago had we not been in a bad recruiting position the saga put us in.
As if he isn’t sexy enough already, and now he wants to be a fireman? Expect a sharp rise in arson related incidents in his district.

If he gets through the selection process to be a fireman, he would have to take up the offer within about 6 mths, which would preclude him from playing AFL in 2017, I believe.

Yeah I remember the same thing with Kane Cornes over here. He agreed to play on because there was no guarantee he would make the intake cut but once he was accepted he had only a matter of months to join or he had to wait until the next intake which could be atleast a year

Had 2 of them try to sell me one of their calenders, they were disapppointed I didn’t buy one.
If they come up again will tell them to get Tayte Pears in the calender, then will buy one.
